I'll look out for it on the Flatters - this year?

Will you go as far as Mull? That's a bit of serious tarmac hehe

As much as we'd like to say yes. Being realistic the car probably wont be finished until next year.

Here's some studio pictures we have been doing for some of our new Motamec FIA products and new alloy handbrake, I cant resist posting them (excuse the plug):

£150K?!!

Wow! Had no idea you could spec a MK2 to that kind of level.
The engine in this car is well into 5 figures by itself...

What an engine though!

Oh, I took that into account. yes Even if the engine cost £50K, that still leaves £100K on the shell + ancillaries, which I had no idea was possible for a MK2 Escort.

That just makes my point even more valid.

Leaving aside the fact a V8, whilst awesomely cool, has no place in a MK2 Escort.

If you look at the first page of this thread you'll see that the thread is about a white Escort with a Millington. Not the black V8 above.....

Ive changed my user name since starting this thread, sorry if this causes any confusion. (formally Work-Shy-Wanabe).

Anyway, the car build was delayed partly due to being very busy and partly to sorting out the power steering kit. We have been working together with Rix Engineering to produce a Corsa B power steering kit, which is now finished and available.

Here it is being fitted:

Details here, available with or without Cora B donor parts:

Anyway, we have cracked on with the rest of the car and Classic Ford have been along to take some pictures of it:

A lot of the plumbing is done, but still lots left to do....rad and the loom!

Axle, wheels, suspension and windows fitted. Its really looking good, very happy with the Red wheels. Ready for Classic Ford shoot:

Sneak peak at some of the shots being done for Classic Ford:

It should be up and running by the next update. But it probably wont be anytime soon as the loom will need to be custom made.

EDIT: As you can see from an interior picture, there's still a fair bit of work left to do.

Heresy. Both for engine manufacturer AND number of cylinders. wink

Mine is only a replica Ford and I still felt somewhat dirty to use GM parts!

Did anyone see the car on the Classic Ford calendar?

Very happy with it, they did a fantastic job. We have a load of them so if any of you want one, message me your address and I'll see what I can do.

Very nice ... but ... shouldn't those bolts on the track rod ends be the other way round?
