Yes it's been bought from Sam, has the riot racing cams, throttle body etc. Very high spec. Need a little bodywork to make her 100% but over the moon with her. Pick her up next week.

Unsure wether to update/hijack this thread as it does contain a lot of history about the vehicle or start my own.........

Not much to report. Couple of pictures after a good wash. Owned her nearly 2 weeks now and just hit 180k.

Both front arches have been pushed out due to sitting so low. Running 12mm spacers to clear the KW coilovers which doesn't help.

Managed to source some replacement wings and in Santorini blue for only £50. Bargain. Just need to sort out getting them. Anyone heading Bristol anytime soon? Haha

Small rust bubble on rear quarter panel.
Front bumper peppered with stone chips.
Boot needs respraying.

Already had the M3 mirrors sprayed and fitted last week. I know I'll get flamed for it, my mates already started, for it looking too much like an M3 but to me they are the best designed wing mirrors ever and make such a difference. I still have the originals should I wish to change back.

I have a cracked front nearside fog just need to get round to replacing it.

I have a x-brace just needs swapping for the sump guard. Running M3 manifolds and full exhaust so they vibrate through the sump guard at idle. Not a lot but enough to annoy me.

Taking her for a new throttle cable tomorrow as the current one is stretched and maxed out on adjustment with about 1" play in throttle.

Full spec:

Riot racing M52 camshafts
Riot racing 68mm throttle body
M50 manifold with proper fitting kit
Traction control delete intake elbow
EMP Stewart's high flow water pump
Metal water pump pulley
Ronak metal thermostat housing
Wahler thermostat
Mishimoto M3 radiator - M3 expansion tank - samco hoses
Viscous fan delete
S50 full exhaust system

Ac Schnitzer short shift
UUC gear linkage
E46 320d front brakes
Purple tag rack
KW V1 coilovers
Reinforced and powdercoated front subframe
Genuine BMW sumpguard
Polybushed lollipops with e30 arms
Generic strut brace
Stud conversion
Fully polybushed rear subframe
2.93 LSD

Love a Santorini!

Mirrors really do suite them, I may have a set of a 318is.

New throttle cable now fitted which has taken up all the slack in the throttle pedal.

I'd noticed over the past week a small 1" puddle on the drive every morning coming from the passenger side and put it down to a minor oil leak from somewhere although I didn't do the "taste" test to find out what it was. Got her over the pit and turned out one of the clamps on a power steering hose had past its use by date so was replaced and will check back in a couple of days on that.

Had loads of rain in Blackpool over the past few days and I definately need to replace the tires, ideally alloys aswell, if anyone has some spare? Currently running Nankang NS2R's. Has been fun though biggrin

If I get time tomorrow I'm going to whip out the headunit and have a look at the wiring. Have very poor/little reception on the radio.

Few small updates on the old girl but nothing major.

Finally got round to putting my private plate on. I managed to find some genuine BMW Williams Bolton numberplates in the shed, which were originally made up many years ago when my dad purchased his e46 M3 through them. I decided to chop both plates down, still in keeping with the legal requirements ( minimum 11mm top/bottom/side margins.

I was hoovering the boot out last week and thought I’d lift the carpet to see if there was any crap under it, I wish I hadn’t.....

I drained the water by removing the gromets located towards the rear seats and used the wet vac to remove the rest. It could be coming in from 3 places, boot seal, rear light seals, vent behind bumper for the battery. I suspect rear light seal or the vent as the boot seal is in good shape. I have a spare set of lights to try.

I had a 427mile round trip on Tuesday. Blackpool to almost Bath and back in 8hours. Car was absolutely brilliant. Did just over a tank and quarter, not sure what that works out to mpg wise.

I went down to collect my spare wings, mega rare to find some Santorini blue ones, rear lights and a set of BMW style 49 alloys. The alloys need a refurb which I may do myself and fit some “proper” winter rubber as the semi slicks on my sunflowers aren’t too good in this weather.

The wings won’t be going on for now. I still need to get the front raised.

Next major job will be a full respray. Best get saving.

Really like this motor. Watched it from the beginning. I head off on holiday tomorrow. If you have this still when I get back in a week you’ll most likely get a call from me.

Not a problem at all. She's still here. Paid a visit to the lad who built her yesterday, 333mile trip, didnt miss a beat. Said he would be more than happy to speak to any seriously interested buyers about the vehicle.
