That Defender is fantastic!

Swap you!
As yours is such a nice example and having spent the weekend underneath it grinding off seized prop bolts to drop the gearbox and change the DMF, I could almost be tempted... but not quite hehe

Love it, big fan of Santorini Blue here, so nice to see a Sport in something other than the usual shades. Nice to to see the original BBS wheels in good shape as well.

As someone with a mariner blue mx5 I very much approve of this colour. Are they rare in this colour?

The other one which was posted on this thread (if it's not mine) is the second one I have seen - it appears to be quite rare yes.

The BBS aren't as mint as the photos make them out to be, one side has powedercoated lips and the other side is polished. A refurb will be on the cards soon enough!

Edit: Some f**ker has nicked the O/S dust caps. They are metal BMW items, not sure if I liked them, so I'm not sure if they have done me a favour or not.

Currently raising the rear and standard headlights have arrived. Gonna strip them down, clean up and re seal to try and stop the issues with clouding they all seem to have.

Seems they were stored in a shed for a while because of the filth

But for 30 quid I can't complain! Tackling the clutch delay valve soon.

Never seen an E36 in Santorini blue before! You lot might appreciate my South African Landy which shares the colour and the engine from the factory!

Totally standard apart from the wheels which are a similar style but larger as since having it resprayed and restored it's been retired from workhorsing!
That's stunning - The Wookie. If you remember I posted my F-i-L's green 2.8i on here a while ago. (Sorry for the O/T)

Echoing everyone else with a beautiful colour comment, it looks fantastic and I really miss my E36 now!

So today the rear coilovers have been raised, a creaking top mount sorted, front wheels balanced and the clutch delay valve removed with some HEL braided line.

The car drives so much better with the valve gone, gear changes are much smoother. I think it looks more purposeful with the rear raised too. I took it out for some pictures to show the change on the rear but the car wasn't clean so they aren't the best.

More pictures can be found here: BMW - a set on Flickr

Also did a quick exhaust video, had trouble recording it decently so the video is a bit quiet - may have to re-do it at some stage. Exhaust is an M3 catback.

stunning colour, stunning car. I had a '98 328iS with individual exterior and interior back in the day. I genuinely miss it when I see nice E36's on here, and yours is about as nice as they get.

mine was Biarritz Blue on the outside, with a (you had to see it to know it wasn't disgusting) black leather seats that had the inserts as blue leather. it was an auto mind you, but it worked well. i miss the old thing.

Love it. I constantly come back to these cars in the classifieds, and this is just superb.
