The LED rear lights I bought back in September turned out to be a scam.

I finally got my money back via PayPal today - im not sure how the seller thought they were going to get away with it.... hopefully Karma will catch up with him sometime soon and bite him on the ass.

In better news, we have finally used the car for the primary reason it was purchased - i.e. a family vehicle!

Nora was born on 04/11 - it was great to bring her home in the XC smile
Congratulations on the birth of Nora!

I have been buying stuff again!

OE Volvo boot mat, half price at €75 and an OE headrest mirror so I can spy on Minime when driving.

I had on OE boot divider hiding in the garage for a long time, now finally dug it out and installed it; the pram fits perfectly on one side, and the dogs can chill out on the other smile

I sit with the front seat almost all the way back, and the baby seat still fits easily... I knew there was a reason I bought an XC90 hehe

I wish we'd got one of these BEFORE the oh managed to knock an old battery over in the boot of our T6.

It's amazing how much space those baby seats need isn't it!

Your car looks great inside, the 2011 XC90 I looked at was really tired inside even though it had only done 40k KM, I guess it was a heavily used family bus and I'm sure my RR will end up in the same state in the not-too-distant future...

This was an Executive (which they still have for sale actually) but still looked shabby. The plastic trims in the boot were the worst but the rest of the interior wasn't great either.

Thanks, the previous owner had 2 kids, but they seem to have taken great care of it. I have various seat protectors in place, so hopefully it wont get too trashed.

Its worth noting there are 3 grades of leather in the '90. Cheapest stuff on the Active and ES models, slightly nicer stuff on the SE, and then the really good stuff in the SE LUX and Inscription.

The top grade (like in my car) is far, far more hard-wearing and takes abuse a lot better.
I didn't know that, Any idea what the T6 would have had? the leather is in very good condition

I use carpet floor mats flipped over so the carpet side is on top of the leather seat and the grippy side is on the base of the car seat. if you use rear mats then they normally have cutouts on the corners for the front seat rails, which typically give you access to the seat belt holsters when used as seat protectors.

Also if you want to keep your leather in good nick ( or revive slightly tired leather) use gliptone GT12 first then GT11, I used this yesterday on my leather interior and it has made it look much much better. AUtoglym etc had failed to help previously.

You're not helping my sense of loss are you?

Due to wife's new job and long commute we had to get rid of our 06 reg XC90 in Jan this year.
It was a great family car and ideal for us with 3 growing kids.
never let us down and only needed normal wear and tear items despite it being the pre facelift version.

I must admit not as much space as the Alhambra it replaced due to the high floor and sloping hatch but the quality feel (and taking less stuff) made up for that.

Just wish it was a little cheaper to run.
maybe i will get an XC60 until the new shape XC90 reaches £10-12k :-)

I'm confident you will😀

I have installed dash and front and rear in mine , the rear is running off the permanent live cigar socket in the boot locking out through the top middle of the rear window

We toured some Xmas markets yesterday just over the border in Germany.

Lucky sod. We were due to go to Köln for the markets last week but some very unfortunate circumstances forced a change of plan. Will go to Xanten next weekend though smile

Groetjes!
