for a 2nd hand pair of LED taillights need a front end smash my12 onwards really, most are being repaired, none are being parted out as yet.

Thing with the LED tail lights is they look a "bit" better on their own but REALLY good if installed with LED strips up the rear tailgate sides...

Calipers look rusty on mine as well, weather is too bad to bother now until spring as the paint takes 24 hours at 16c - this is smoothrite by the way, works a treat - no need for special caliper paint...

jeezus that's pricey - although it will make the car look better, better make sure I don't break mine!

As a side note the Volvo blue emblem bits are very easy to damage by power washing, if you catch it on the edge it will lift, then the chrome background goes a sort of milky colour which isn't great.

The Bosnian car wash did this to mine and the only remedy is a new chrome badge.....which costs about £35 I think. I did try some badges from a guy in the states but they weren't transparent, they were solid colour and they were also the wrong blue! He will however do you any colour you want and will write anything you want on them (including LOLVO!!).

Those pics make me want to clean mine, but I’m sure I will get over it

I have a couple of questions. How have you found the Polestar, I have a 2011 Executive 200hp and the lag from a standing start is driving me mad. Its been in and out and on visit they said that maybe I should look at a Polestar for it. Any good?

Handling. It’s great to drive to the South of France in, but a country lane !!! Have you found anything to improve the handling?

Thanks

Check the swirl actuator , my 185 bhp d5 had a broken linkage and now it's fixed It doesn't have too much takeoff lag.

The gearbox ecu is what causes most of the lag as it limits the power in 1st and 2nd to protect the gearbox longevity, whilst an ecu remap might improve the maximum power and the torque curve it won't override the gearbox settings...

question for the captain,

would 70 or 75mmmm tail pipes fit or are the 80mm pipes the only ones which work.

Theres some kind of parallel universe going on here...

My car is booked in with Volvo on Friday for its 4th Service as well- they are charging £217 whereas my indy wanted £280!?

Volvo are collecting and delivering back the car (its a 50 minute cross country thrash too).

In other news I have managed to break the clips which hold the armrest console on to the main centre console. this has caused many "look cool rodders" moments when I lean on the armrest and it all fires back into the rear of the car and I fall into the hole where it used to be !!!!

Looks like a snow tyre stud, all you need is a few hundred more spread evenly across all the tyres to match and you're set up for winter.....

Gutted for the tyre issue - too close to the sidewall to repair too, I guess? frown

I've been looking at this photo for a while, trying to work out what that is in the dead centre of the tailgate. Is it a keyhole, or a very round dent?

Below the plate? Possibly a dent?

mine is outside - frosted up.

I am letting the big yellow circle in the sky do all the leg work on that today.

Ah bugger - hopefully something minor eh!

Launch technique that worked for previous autos-

TCS off
Manual 1 selected
Brake on
Rev to midway round the rev counter (car is straining on the brakes!)
release brake
Change at appropriate points

Alternatively start in 2 - but I never saw better results...
