This might not be to everyone's taste but I love it smile

It started life as a standard Honda Civic Type-R 30th Anniversary edition and was meant to be a stop gap until I could afford something a bit more meaty.

But after falling on some 2nd hand parts for it really cheap the spiral of modifying the car got quite out of control as you will see!

Brief Spec -

6 Pot AP Racing brakes
Full weld in roll cage
Custom Made Turbo conversion making 300bhp and 200ftlb @ 5/6ish psi
Speedline Mag 2020 Wheels
Carbon doors/boot/bonnet/scoop
Buddyclub N+ Coilovers

Pictures -

Car goes fantastic on the track. Looking forward to getting many more in next year!

Comments welcome!

Bloody hell I thought someone had painted the door a funny colour at first,

That must be VERY good fun on track

Looks fun! I normally like morettes but I'm a little undecided on these, but saying that the standard items aren't particularly pretty.

Any vids?

Yeah, i'm a bit like that tbh, i quite like them some days but others i just want to change them. But they do serve a purpose and feed the filter that is sat behind it.

While i understand it may not be to everyones tastes, I am not entirely sure how I have made it look cheap?

The door is a carbon door, the doors in total saved over 40kg in weight over the stock items. Unfortunately its function before form for me, aesthetics are not high on my list of priorities

Unlike the old farts on here ,im am at 25 more like you than you think.
However im all for bodykits ,that enhance the look ,unfortunately that one makes the car look cheap.
Its ironic really, that i bet it cost loads and to paint.Along with your carbon doors.

Epic car minus the front for me.

my mate had a charade (for one day) with a b18c custom turbo job , and i loved that engine .

Not disagreeing with you, Cars with hideous kits are awful. J just don't understand how it looks 'cheap' with carbon doors?

I think the problem is some chavs paint panels black to make them look like they are carbon and have kind of tarnished the image? idk, something along these lines anyway.

well worth it for the weight saving though

Ahh, i see! I have noticed an influx of questions asking if they are 'wrapped' recently. I have toyed with the idea of spraying them, but they will lose their resale value if i was to i think

Any idea what it weighs now over the standard car with all your carbon bits and bobs and the lack of an interior?

1011kg's, I still have plastic windows to fit, and i am planning to remove the ABS and fit the bias valve i have. Hopefully might sneak it under the 1000kg mark then

Must admit, when I first saw it I thought it looked like a Halfords special. Great to see it's got the power, weight and handling to back it up. It actually looks quite good when you factor that in.

It's almost a sleeper of sorts... I certainly would've imagined it to be a 1.4 Civic underneath!
