Depending how far you're willing to go, my EP3 weighs in at 1035kg with half a tank of fuel.
...thats with no driver, a full FIA cage and no carbon or plastic bodywork.
I don't understand how that is possible...thats with no driver, a full FIA cage and no carbon or plastic bodywork.
I have no ABS. No SRS system. Plastic windows. Carbon doors, boot, bonnet. Carbon seats.
Only thing I can think of is the scales I used need re-calibrating?

Possibly they do...although you can get pretty artistic with a circular saw when you have a race car.I have no ABS. No SRS system. Plastic windows. Carbon doors, boot, bonnet. Carbon seats.

My doors are shells
The bonnet is more or less only a skin
The dash is a skin with AC and all non-essential ancillary systems are gone
Holes in the A & C pillars
Interior is completely gone except the seat
No insulation or anything left
Bumpers are shells
..My car has to be 1100kg minimum with driver and I run 40kg of ballast for a safety margin totalling 1140kg with no fuel.
If you like I can take some pics for you of the work on my car next time I'm working on it.

I have done pretty much exactly like you have! I'd have loved to break the 1000kg mark but 110kg is a mega weight to remove when there's nothing left

I have these file pictures that may help a little if you look at the detail.
You can see the bonnet skin here.

I saw this at JapFest 2, but didn't recognise it until seeing the picture above. Know I've commented before but still looks great.

Looking ace at Squires on Tuesday mate! Sounded ridiculous when you left
Cheers mate! Haha struggling for grip as always when its greasyThat is correct, it is a DC5 shifter assembly on some spacers.
I took some more pictures last night of the weight saving measures, forgive the poor quality...
Door Skin, inside is hollow except for the latch.
Pedal Box
Roof Liner gone
Dash
Whats under the dash, absolutely nothing, also note the support beam above the thick red wires has been turned into swiss cheese, this is a hefty old unit in itself.
It would be interesting to see if the scales you used were accurate. The ones we have for the series were fairly recently calibrated.

Yes, 1,145kg with 40kg of ballast and me in it at 75kg and 10L of fuel.
Bloody awesome going! I am jealous haha!Got some facelift mirrors for mine recently so no more cable tied indicators in the wing vents -
and i also fitted some cool pop out vents in the rear window, just to aid with cooling and air flow in the cabin
