You'll love it mate! the rides pretty harsh at low speeds and broken roads, but get it on some smooth Tarmac with some nice bends and its ace.

So, whilst the weather was decent today, thought i'd pass on a few hours on by having some decent drives on the local roads i know near me,

Yes its filthy as per usual!

Whilst at home, mate phoned telling me he was outside, picked up his new Corsa 'E' VXR up after trading his 208 GTi in, only right to grab a few pictures,

So tonight i've been out and about with my mate with the Corsa 'E' VXR, it's a very impressive little Hatch, considering it weighs a little more than the ST and has around 850 miles on clock, i can safely say it pulls good, had a few 2nd to top end of 3rd runs and the VXR pulls a car lenth everytime, and it sounds lovely, few little pops on Gear change and sounds nice a roaty.

Now with his previous Peugeot 208 GTi my ST used to pull a car lenth on that! So the VXR is certainly a suprise. I still have to say though, the ST does 'feel' quicker and a more punchy engine.

Productive weekend, first had some Bridestone Potenza RE002's fitted to the Front to match the nearly new RE002's fitted to the Rear, went through Blackcircles and got them fitted at local ATS, all went according to plan and the Tyre Fitter even asked my what Pressures i wanted in, saved a trip to Tesco on the way home lol,

Tyres by Michael Smith, on Flickr

These fitted at '35500' miles.

Today i made a start on replacing the Discs and Pad's as there where shot, went for Genuine Ford Pads and OEM 'Mintex' Discs, These replacing on '33550' miles.

All went to plan, now, i've had a brief drive and they feel 'Spongy' and worse than before lol, so will be giving them a Bleed with my Dad later on before it goes Dark, i've spoken to a few people how have said you don't have to Bleed the Brakes, which i think is wrong as i've had to Bleed the Brakes on every car i've changed them on.

Picking my black st-3 up at the end of the month, looking forward to it.

Currently got a red edition fiesta and really can't stand the poor headlights so will be the first thing I change on the ST.

Nice car.

I used to have a performance blue ST150, great cars and seem to be very underrated. Often living in the shadow of 1*2 Clios.

Went to buy a spirit blue ST180 with grey interior. Got distracted by an orange one and ended up with that. hehe

Turns out he spent 25,000 great british pounds detailing a white astra vxr nurburgring. He rushed home and covered it in 600 layers of wax without actually driving the damned thing. Poor Astra. Probably still gathering dust being waxed 8 years later on its 52,000th coat with less than 20 miles on the clock. I would kill for one of those.

Very underrated the ST150's, in my experience, just as quick as 1*2's and handle just a good. Both looking fresher and fresher with age. I'd have either again.

Nothing to report as such, booked the ST's 1st ever MOT at Ford for Monday the 18th July, and Tuesday last week, went to Wales for a good drive with a mate in a Renaultsport Clio 197 Cup, covered around 320 miles alround and averaged about 32-ish MPG whereas the Cup did around 26 MPG.

Utterly fantastic car the 197 Cup, more so in fantastic condition as this one wearing some serious RE070's Rubber, it's such a more focused Hot Hatch than the ST, everything was one step further in Clio, 10/10th's car for sure, the Handling, balance, poise, everything.

So last Monday, (18th) took the ST in for it's first ever MOT as it was approaching 3 years old, took it down to the local Ford Garage. Also whilst it was down there i had a replacement 3rd Brake Light fitted as it failed a few prior. Typical!

DSC_0215 by Michael Smith, on Flickr

Mileage at the time of MOT was "40851" quite high for a 3 year old car, but i love driving it!
