They weigh about the same as an Elise S1, and the supercharger might give you similar BHP... sounds fun!
Elise S1 weighs 725-760kg, so I doubt the Aygo weighs that!!! Aygo probably around 900kg+.

Either way, nice car OP and it'll be a blast to drive.

Banzai magazine did one of these - wonder what happened to it? Would definitely help out at those times when the Aygo's engine and long gearing means there's zero grunt (60mph+ in top).

Would/will fatter tyres up front change the Aygo's fun dynamics?

Congrats on the excellent man maths, though; would've been cheaper to buy a Panda 100hp. wink
I think Banzai gave theirs away in a competition. I remember seeing it up for sale on Ebay by the guy who won it.

yes i'm mad

The Banzai one is still on the road. smile

As for BHP...it's all speculation at the moment! I'll find out on Monday and post the Dyno chart.

And yes, they're Yaris wheels.

Final spec will be:

Full Rotrex Supercharger Conversion
44mm Straight through exhaust
16' Toyota Yaris Wheels
Sparco R333 Seats, Rear seats to be retrimmed in matching material
Bilstein Front and Rear shocks
Eibach Pro Springs
Grooved front brakes with EBC pads
EBC rear drum shoes
Interior panels replaced with dark black ones from 2013 model
Pioneer speakers all around, with a 2013 Toyota AYGO Pioneer headunit

To be honest, i've found the car much more fun with wider and larger tyres. Grips enough to be able to handle much better but doesn't sap the pleasure out of driving it. Also what with the springs being lower, the bigger wheel also keeps the car at a near stock height. This is how it looked before I started modifying it:

Great job keeping the exterior looking pretty tame, looks nice with the pipes and wheels but no one will suspect... I reckon they'll probably hear you coming though! Fabrication on the pipes looks lovely.

Love this! I'm so tempted to get an Aygo, and a charged one will be bonkers. I imagine you'll surprise a few people!

Part of me winced when I looked at the price of the kit though!

Is the SC on an electronic clutch? I suppose that if you're genuinely mad, you didn't bother?

Shame Aston Martin didn't do this to their Aygo. Possibly would have sold some if they had.

Well I had the money to buy a used car...but decided to go this route. I wanted something a bit different from the norm smile

Supercharging usually adds around 50% of the original bhp figure, give or take.

67bhp originally would suggest around 100bhp supercharged.

Add a tiny amount for the exhaust and I would guess around 105-108bhp.

Had a little Black series Aygo as a daily last year. Jesus they are damn fun but with oem shopping trolley width wheels, when you reach the limit of grip you have bugger all to work with to bring it back in line and as it is so short wheel base you have to be quick when it does! Enjoy it mate, I can imagine with proper width wheels and good quality tyres they are brilliant to fling around B roads!

I thought the Cygnet was based on the IQ, not the Aygo.
