A quick update. MoT Passed recently, no advisories the car did a whooping 499 miles between tests.
Insurance renewed with a £3000 agreed value for £87.
Hot start problem defiantly cured with the fitting of the new battery
Missed out on a couple of shows recently due to the weather.
Soon time to stick it back into hibernation.
Turbo Technics Conversation still on the back burner.

Thanks for the positive comments.
The car is far from concourse, in fact there are areas of body work that are showing its 32yrs. The original idea was to basically re commission and MoT the car,and start driving it again. However having sat in, a now obviously damp garage for 6/7yrs the car was structurally worse than first thought.
The car required a lot of welding, and the project ended up being a minor restoration!
For those of you who haven't seen the blog refresh your self. (Pic heavy)

The spec of the car was rare 32yrs ago, every factory option from the 1984 catalogue was fitted plus some dealer fit accessories, the rear headrests, 15" RS alloys, first aid kit to name a few.
So the value is difficult to estimate, is it worth more than £3k? probably,
I`m reasonably happy to have a first option to buy back from the insurance co should any thing happen, although the most likely thing would be theft, I don't use it enough to increase the genuine 87000 mile significantly.
Long term plan will be to fully restore the car, eventually, probably when the TVR is sold, for the time being I will live with the minor 32yr old dings, marks and rust bubbles.

Lovely cars. A good mate of mine had a Caspian Blue B-plater back in the early 90s. Apart from a Cosworth grille, it was completely standard, and I recall, for the time at least, went like the clappers. Even back in the days of 50p a litre it wasn't a cheap car to run though. Epic thirst when driven with anything like enthusiasm.
I genuinely cannot remember the last time I saw one on the road. Lovely to read about this one.

OP, if you ever want to sell it for £3,000 please PM me first - I'd love it!
Mate of mine had a Caspian Blue one with most goodies (Sunroof, central locking, PAS and electric windows) about 20 years ago that we took to various trackdays including Donnington, Goodwood, Silverstone GP and Brands Hatch GP and it was the one car we didn't manage to break!
Terrific cars, and happy memories! Enjoy. Unless of course you decide to let me cherish it!

You know the panel behind the number plate has been added in as it wasnt standard at that age, also I am sure they are not original back lights but my memory may be fading.
You're correct the rear panel is a 85mdl onwards fitment. The part was fitted by me c1987.The rear lights are from the early Ghia model as is the boot interior rear panel.DSLiverpool said:
I have pictures of A931 NOO (a Ford press car) somewhere on film! In 1985 I fitted a Blaupunkt New York, stalk equaliser and cartridge based CD player with a few amps to mine, it had every option except Air Con. I was thrilled to have 150 BHP now a 1.6d can do better!
Still waiting to see them I did a piece about the "NOOs" in one of the XR4i threads.
