The site does not like my ad blocker. I can not be bothered to register for the Herald.

Click the link and then hit x (stop refreshing) as soon as the picture loads - should give you text and picture before the adblock checker piles in with it's stty red banner

No probs happy to help - it works with a lot of MSM News sites where they are trying to react to Adblocking - sometimes I have to open the link in a private window and do the same sometimes they beat me to the x - however it doesn't work with them all but it's a useful trick for a lot biggrin

I do miss Gulzar.

I'd wager he's on a Urus now with a stupendous wrap and modifications!

It was mainly the Son. He seemed to have a bit of money to throw around and spent a fair bit on interesting cars. This seemed to upset some people on here because he liked modifying them. And his taste for visual tweaks were definitely very personal and didn't find much favour among the more conservative audience here. Especially because the cars were not your typical Astra or Corsa types that he was modifying. I think there was a Bentley Continentall, a Range Rover maybe and then a Lamborghini - maybe a Murcielago convertible. So it ended up with more negative comments with just a few of Us - like Me - saying let him do what he wants to his cars but eventually this is what I believe led him to leave. Just go back to the start and have a read. But maybe check for other threads from prior to this started by him. I think they are still up on here.

We were not upset.

We were generally ROFLing.

Hilariously bad taste and money, it provided much entertainment.

I miss him, and was of the view - like many I suspect - that it was money and his choice. I certainly wasn't laughing AT him. The site is poorer for his absence.

@ChocolateFrog
I dont think the comments were that bad but there was a feeling that this is why he left. We will of course never know.

I remember this guy. It was very clear that he was here for the attention just like the attention he got driving his cars around. Suspect he left because he wasn't getting the kind of attention he wanted.

I agree, he knew full well his choices and taste would ruffle a few feathers but on the whole I thought he was getting positive responses. He was entertaining and didn't appear to take himself too seriously.

I agree the sites poorer for it, we need more characters like him.
