Nothing really to report. Sitting in southern France at the moment after 900 miles in one sitting. No issues at all, V6 makes a lovely cruiser, seats and ride have proved themselves very comfortable indeed. As a bonus the car averaged 39mpg on the way down too.

Back home. 2600 miles completed without complaint. Coming up to a year since I bought this car now, and I've decided it's a keeper. Next on the list is getting a mammoth service done, with a few bits of preventative maintenance to see it through the next couple of years.

And lets not forget...all for a purchase price of 571 quid.

...aaannd that's it folks. The car will presently (in about 40 minutes) be moving on to pastures new. My mechanic is taking it off my hands to run himself for a bit and then flog on in return for a 271,000 mile diesel one.

This might sound like a mad move, but he's struck me a good deal which means the V6 owes me very very little, and I need to be frugal for a little while.

Thanks for all the interest in this thread!

You should enjoy the diesel, its actually very quiet for an older diesel. Not as nippy as thought it would be (lots of turbo lag) but I find that quite enjoyable anyway for some strange reason. It's good to see mine could potentially get to that mileage then. Would love to drive a V6 one someday, don't think I could afford the fuel and belt changes.
