Gearbox

V161, it is in the usual condition, very dirty and oxidised.

We gave it a bit of SRD love and its come out pretty well. Its now sealed as well so shouldn't oxidise any more.

HKS Cam gears and water pump on

HKS timing belt on with Whifbitz carbon cover.

Cam timing being setup

SRD water pump cover.

Turbo :

Oil return made with heat shield

RPS Rripple plate Carbon clutch

Clutch and gearbox fitted

We've gone for an acusump system for this car to safe gaurd the engine. Comes in this finish but didn't go with our colour scheme so its been painted black. The acusump will hold oil under pressure and release it into the system if the oil pressure drops for some reason

It will also prime the engine on start up to help reduce engine wear.

Acusump painted black

As the car is having an audio system, twin fans ect we wanted to make sure it had the power.

We also wanted a nice stock look for the interior so didn't want a big ugly battery just siting in the boot.

We went for a twin battery instal so we could use 2 smaller batteries and put them where we wanted.

Custom battery trays were fabricated to house the Kinetik battery's

Battery trays finished and painted

Custom SRD sub box with Alpine R Type Slim Sub

Washer bottle mounted In rear panel with stock filler kneck

Boot floor trimmed for sub

Bit more update:

We got a HKS funnel for the turbo which came in the usual purple finish.
It didn't go with the rest of the look so we changed it to a black and polished finish to match the rest of the bay

Closer pic of the SRD 160amp alternator.

A must have when running twin fans, Audio system ect.

Intercooler pipe work is now finished and dump valve mounted

Custom PS tank we made, holds more fluid than stock so helps with cooling. We also have a PS cooler as well.

Wanted it to look like it's floating so the mounting was a bit tricky

Few pics of the underside now its all together.

We have made the wastgate pipe switchable.

Its a recirc system with a cut off valve that's controlled by a switch in the car. Screamer pipe at the touch of a button smile

The down pipe, mid pipe and screamer are all Zircotec coated.

Front under tray:

The bumper didn't have one at all so we made it in one piece to cover the whole lot

Nice flat floor smile

Hi op just wondered purely out of interest, whether in view of the extreme detailed and clean nature of the car what use you had in mind for it ie,show, trackdays,or just very fast cough road usebiggrin
Bit of everything to be honest apart from shows.

I want to do track days, hence why I went with smaller turbo so less laggy for track use. Will not be a garage queen for sure.

I want to do few mile runs / Vmax next summer to see what this car is capable of as well.

With those little turbo trumpets, which I adore by the way, is there not a risk of it sucking up crap? I've seen them in cars running open in the engine bay like this one appears to, with no filter over the end of the trumpet, that must suck up dust surely? And having found leaves in all sorts of funny places in my engine bays over the years, are they a risk too? What about driving in very heavy rain?
Good point, hence why we went with a large K&N filter as in the picture below. It doesn’t look as good as the trumpets though biggrin

Thank you guys , appreciate all the nice comments. Sorry about the late replies and lack of updates.

Car made 1040 WHP at a hub dyno. Well happy with it. Engine and rest of the mods are built for 1500 HP, but I think I am going to stick to the current set up and see how this goes instead of chasing numbers.

Thanks to Lee and Ashely from SRD, and RyanG from 2BarTuning for looking after the car as usual smile
