Hate to admit it but I have always liked the streetwise boxedin, this gives me even more reason to want one.

Thinking about one for the gf and her first car.

Take the roof bars off it and the front end will look like you have one of ridicously sh!T bonnet bra abortions that all the Veedub crowd think look great. Further ruination can be achieved via suspension that gets stranded driving over a used dog end via stupid ride height, comical camber and banded tyres.

On second thoughts - leave it as it is and have the last laugh burning the tw*ts off in their 1.9tdis/modified to look like a Golf Gti wink

OP - Anything but Streetwise hehe

I don't know why but I rather like this!

Good work, OP! You had the engine and the car, why not put them together!

What's the handling like now?

Not that outdated lump of pig iron...a decent engine but I thought it suited application in e.g. my old 620ti rather than something like this (small and relatively lightweight).

I've driven a T16 ZR and thought it a bit nose heavy and reluctant to turn in compared to a K-Series car.

I like that. Rover were ahead of their time with the idea of jacking up a normal car and putting plastic bits on to make give it a bit of a soft roader appeal.

It's off to the PH RR day tomorrow in Surrey to see how much power it isn't producing...

Gash name, but I like this! I've always found the 25-based variants with the 1.8 VVC strangely compelling; the fact you made this is very cool. OEM+ done properly. I've always had a weird soft-spot for the Streetwise... and this has perpetuated it. Also love the 200 and 25 that came with this engine- much more subtle than the ZR finished in those ridiculous primary colours! Enjoy it. LSD would be cool, as would the suspension mods.

Well 18 months on, not much has changed in the world of Streetwise apart from it's hardly being used, which is a bit of a shame.

Considering selling it but no idea how much to ask for it really-any offers?

I've no idea how much it's worth either but I was thinking of getting something cheap and cheerful to enter a few Sprints with so if you think of a price then I might be interested

I was quite hoping that it would stay "as is" and be preserved rather than raced or rallied-albeit if someone comes up with the readies, money talks but it's a mint example and something I've put a fair bit of work into.

It's probably worth a lot more to me than anyone else, so it'll end up mothballed in my parent's garage!
