Diff is a Cosworth 7.5 with a standard ratio of 3.62. Gearbox is standard T56 fare with a modified shift - which is basically direct with the remote only used for the self centering of the lever - which works really well - very much old school escort abit 2 more gears! I know what you mean about shift action of the T56, I had a Monaro with a Ripshifter and it felt rubbish compared to the Escort set-up.
Your car spec sounds very impressive. I want to walk before I run so to speak

Just checking photos and it looks like I have missed the cleaning of the front wheels after some 15 miles of breaking in of the brakes!

Rosebery topping in the back ground, but parked in the layby on the g'boro side on Newton under roseberry. Looks a very nice motor, local to me also! I do love a nice old escort! Whats your intentions for use?

First problem! Well apart from the usual set-up detailing. Only really given it the full beans twice now only to find a trail of smoke behind! This was traced to the gear box oil leaking from the gear linkage at the back of the box then dripping on to the hot exhaust. Stripped the lever to find that they should be a rubber gasket in there after taking advice from one of the HSV boys. Luckily for me I had a spare box in stock that has the gasket fitted!

I have done about 200 miles now and still fine tuning the suspension. Also getting sick of cleaning the wheels every time I take it out. Maybe due to the fact the front pads are specials from a sprint hill climb car!

We may have mutual friends. We live at the other end of the tt but my wife and brother and sister-in-law are guisborough folk, so I know a few petrolheads in guisborough.

That engine bay looks designed to accept the LS engine. Top job.
