The supra diffs come in various final drives, you can prob Change the crown wheel and pinion or just buy another, my non turbo one is 3.9 I think, have you looked at what is available?

Hi Finlay fronts are 600 and rears are 300.
Supra diff usually comes in 3.7 and 3.9 I want something close to 3.3 to try. Toyota did do one but it was a very rare race special. I have heard that one out of a 4runner will fit but yet to see one for sale with a low ratio.

My buddy has been buying up a few, I will see what he has got....certainly not seen 3.3 but he may have a 3.7?

Not done much with the Escort as I have been working on our BMW330 track car prep and also a Honda S2000 for me and my better half to share. But have now found time to sort the front end of the Escort - first job was to strip and try and find a knock. Then alter the top mounts for a little drop

Car out of storage and I am finding it a bit frightening on open roads - must be my age or something!
Now thinking of going back to more conventional 4 pot power! So if anyone wants a full turn key conversion give me a shout and if a deal can be done I am more than will to help with your project.
I will update once the new power plant is going in!

I love the idea of very big engines in small, light cars but it does seem to be a theme of loads of work and expense, then realise it scares the bejezus out of you and realising why most have a screaming twin cam with 200 bhp and not vast torque, same with Cosworth engined Westfields, good idea on paper and for the right person probably amazing, but for me its a bit too spicy. Sometimes less is more.

Yeah

This is why I got rid of my ls1 powered e46. It wasn't quite into scary category. But the only way to enjoy it was being silly. And you can't drive around being silly these days. More so now with everyone having cameras and sending their videos to the police.

Finally I have got round to fitting power steering. I have gone the usual route of Corsa electric column. Unfortunately the motor fouled the pedal box. This is due to the fact that the pedal box had to be fitted further box than standard and I always knew it would be an issue. At the time of the original build I had toyed with the idea of a floor mounted unit but it looked too tight. But now it appears I have little choice, so with a bit of gentle persuasion on the floor areas and a change from the Girling type master cylinder for the clutch that came with the floor mounted pedal box to the original Monaro (2inches shorter) I have it fitted.

Pleased to see the Escort is still going. I feared the worst.
