I run a stage 3 ST now on RS Injectors running dreamscience Mod-X-RS and what a beast! Day to day I can't think of many quicker cars... 330bhp and 400lb ft of torque see to that!

The modding bug is expensive though...

A little video of exhaust noise...

The noise is epic with the full mongoose exhaust and open cone induction as well and fuel consumption hasn't changed considering the extra 100 bhp and 160lb ft!!

Never been a huge fan of these but I bet that goes like the proverbial! Any rough acceleration times (either in-gear or otherwise) out of interest?

Loved mine the decat, k&n and blueflame made it sound epic. I'd be changing that intake, must be sucking a lot of heat in.

My old one

It's in a heatshield and is from a reputable tuning company who have no doubt spent a lot of time and effort developing it, it utilises the cold air feed from the slam panel, I have monitored the inlet air temperature in many circumstances and I have never once noticed the heat heading about 3-4 degrees above the outside air temperature.

I think it's a bit of a misconception to be honest as a lot of big power RS's run an open filter in the engine bay even with no shielding :-) each to there own anyways I am happy with it and it's good to not follow the heard sometimes, especially when it makes no odds performance wise.

As for the acceleration times I haven't figured it... I imagine with a good start it would dip below 6 to 60, in gear is where it's at though and 30-120 it's pretty serious... It's shocked a few expensive motors in gear anyways.

Nice car, I wished I had gone for blue in the end as my panther black is a PITA to clean. Incidentally have you had the block mod done to yours?

I haven't had it done no, part of me thinks I should and part of me thinks I might never have to as I am debating on changing my car later next year anyways...

I've had CP320 on mine for over a year and had no issues so far, I was thinking of having it done but the car is going now as I have gone for the BMW M135i.

Seems to be a popular choice of upgrade! I am hoping to go audi S4 with the supercharger as I need an estate really now I have a pet labrador... A cheeky REVO map on that and 400Hp+ will do :-) how do you find the Beemer?

Always liked the S4 estates, definitely will be considering one once I need a bigger car. The BMW is on order, should be getting it March time which means I can enjoy the ST for a little longer before it's sold.

Yeah just beware with the remap on the S4 as it stores a specific code on the ecu that can be picked up by Audi if the car is in for warranty work. It one of the main reasons that put me off getting my old B8 s4 remapped as loads of guys in the states on audi sine have had dealers refuse warranty work due to this code and to top it all the code is stored onto the national database .

But if your car is out of warranty go for it, oh and you should hear the noise the charger makes with a open cone filter .........WOW , just do a wee you tube search wink

Only 2 things i hate about these .

1. the seat height
2. the tax/popularity

Do sound epic though ,it seems for some odd reason its the ST that produces all its horses and never the RS .

For example having a little play with a stock rs in my stock at the time mps proved that they are indeed down on power as i thought he would smoke me in the weeds .It never happened 2-3 lengths ahead at most in my eyes confirming they all come at about 280-90bhp.

Nice car sounds epic ,my cars only downfall is noise.

Cheers dude, the seating position is a bug bear of mine as well... If the seat was dropped down lower it would be ideal! Mine also makes mince meat of a standard RS as well :-) in a straight line at least...

Well a little update, I have now had the car lowered on a Bilstein B12 set up so eibach 20-25mm lowering springs and Bilstein dampers.

The overall comfort level and ride quality of the car isn't changed very much at all the car just feels under better body control... Tauter if you will... But show it some corners and the difference is marked! The car just seems to grip and grip, although costing considerably more than just the eibach lowering springs alone I can't recommend this set up enough for fast road use.

On track the suspension might still prove a little soft but that remains to be seen as I haven't yet had the car on track but could be tempted in the coming year... Anyways enough talking here's a couple of pics, I will get some proper one on the weekend if I get some time, these were hastily snapped on my dinner time.

Cheers,

Carlos

Just been for a proper blast and wow... The difference is night and day from the standard car, the car is much more neutral at the limit and the extra grip over standard is incredible! It just grips rips and goes now without a hint of understeer until your really really pushing on... It almost seems to 4 wheel drift a little at this point where it would have just ploughed straight on before on the standard suspension :-)

The car basically feels like a lightened hunkered down R version of the standard car , happy doesn't cover it!

Have you had any driveshaft issues??
Have had to replace 3 on a 300bhp one I look after which is also lowered, it's now been returned to stock height to see if they last a bit longer!!

It's only been lowered around a week so time will tell, it will put more strain on the drive shafts but hopefully not too much... There are uprated items available also, I don't know if you have considered this??

Have seen them but they are not cheap!! There has also been rumours of balancing issues with the updated versions so I think he is waiting to see these issues ironed out
