Well I haven't updated this in a while.....

The clutch had started to slip (was only a matter of time really after the re-map added an extra 50bhp!), so as I regularly take it to the Pod a Helix 4 paddle was installed, along with a lightened flywheel too, around the same time a second hand LSD came up for sale too, couldn't resist that, would help getting the power down on track as well as making the daily drive better too. It certainly helped at the strip, best time is now a healthy 13.7 @ 102mph, won quickest MINI at last years BMW show at Santa Pod, well pleased with that! It also was quicker than quite a few 'big beemers' too laugh

Rather more obviously also had some paintwork done to the Clubby, roof/rear light surrounds & bumper top were colour coded, looks a lot better imo, also had the Tarmacs re-furbed in Subaru (BBS) Gold, it's been christened the 'Clubaru' ha ha. Also got a new plate, the old 666 OAP needed to be put into retirement biggrin, Clubman model No. is R55, + as it's a John Cooper Works version......

The car's been running great, still enjoying driving it, go to loads of meets & runs & it hasn't really missed a beat.

A few more pics of the new look....

Also booked up for a trackday at Goodwood on the 2nd December, hopefully the weather plays ball, never done Goodwood before & looking forward to seeing how the old Clubby goes. Make a nice change from all the rwyb's at Santa pod this year too.

The trackday at Goodwood went really well, took a while to get used to the track, but really enjoyed it once I'd got the hang of it, quite quick down the Lavant Straight!! The car performed brilliantly too, although I got a couple of Black flags for noise!

Also went back to more familiar territory in early Feb, love Brands Hatch, been there quite a few times now

The olde girl didn't miss a beat all day, & surprised a few 'bigger' cars too, even though I've been round the Indy circuit loads of times, finally ran out of talent & had a 'moment' going into Clearways corner, vey gently understeered off into the gravel...oooops

Luckily no major damage, just a tiny amount of gravel rash to the front bumper, & knocked the near side splitter off, easy to put back on though, & we were back out a while later

Brilliant!

I love the look of this Clubman. The peeps at Bini should have looked to you before they brought out the latest iteration. thumbup

Cheers mate thumbup

The interior of the new one is really nice, & although it's a bit 'wide hipped' I don't mind the back end....that front though.....no thanks

Thanks for the nudge & kind comments GT89 thumbup

No real mod updates, the last lot really did get he car to how I felt really happy with it, just been enjoying driving it tbh, no track days since the last lot but been quite active on the 'Club' scene (no pun intended ha ha), regularly meet up with fellow MINI owners for a blast out in the country, I live very close to Hindhead, so the old girl has tested the Tunnel accoustics on many an occasion!

Back in early 2019 she was smoking a bit under hard acceleration but mainly when sitting at idle, quick call to my buddy Jason at Millsys Autos & it was diagnosed the valve stem oil seals had gone, in she went for some surgery, while the head was off the water pump was done, also a new timing chain was fitted all at the same time, both more preventative than anything, easy to do while it was in bits. Bit of a hit on the wallet but considering the abuse the car has had over the years it wasn't too bad.

The drive home from Nuneaton to Surrey was awesome, having the valves all done had obviously cleaned any carbon build up too, the car felt quick before it went in, but like a rocket ship on the way home!!

So up too Jan 2021, still loving the car, just enjoying driving it when we can with Covid/lockdown stuff! No plans for any future mods, I've been swayed by the new GR Yaris that's taking the car world by storm, that will be my next car, when finances allow (thanks again Covid, you arse, grrr), possibly some time next year, already been planning lol
