Looks good that Fellaclap. Sold my old Cosworth last year and have been thinking about an E46 M3 as a replacement, always liked the E36, would be tempted to buy one if I could find one as nice as yours.
Enjoy it matesmile...

OK so started on the other side of the engine bay today

Removed some parts and started with this

Ended up looking like this

My bonnet sound proof was filthy so had a stiff blush and went over it, not amazing but certainly better and lots of crap came out of it too

After

Next up I removed a few bits

Was the standard kind of grime

I cleaned up everything before putting it all back together

I have not replaced the screws as they have been painted, waiting for them to dry before fitting, if they look pants I will go buy all new.

List of parts I am replacing

Front fog lights

Side rear window seals (bottom) both sides

Steering wheel either new or leather sorted

Might get the drivers side bolster reconditioned but its in pretty decent shape already so not urgent

New washer fluid pump as I broke that one

New clips for the side kit (one is broken but will replace all as they are cheap)

Coil cover repainted, spoken to my paint guy who is sorting this.

Scratch on the passage side which will need paint

Future jobs:

Clean the arches out

Clean the back of the wheels

Clean and degrees the actual engine

Inspection 2 service

Possibly take the front splitter off and the GT side splitter parts and re-paint. Is this satin black?

Thanks for reading

Lovely example and interesting transformation you're making with it. Will it actually get driven at some point? hehe

mboon]This is an imola individual known [colloquially said:
as the GT2.
The "GT Class II" refers to the rear spoiler and front spoiler extensions only, it is not part of the official model designation of vehicle (whereas "M3 GT" was in LHD markets, the UK model was cosmetics only and was called "M3 GT Individual"), which is M3 Evolution Imola Individual.

Do you mind me asking what you use on the engine bay plastics and also the engine bay paintwork?

I'm a bit of a fan of cleaning these areas too but I take too long doing it.

Cheers.

Gaz, the Evo is raw compared to the E46. Engine rocks the car when reving. Feels smaller, more involved. I prefer it for a drivers car

Stunning Mark, you've done it again, how does it drive compared to the vert you had?, have you got rid of your Escort?

Cheers Mike. I have not driven this one yet so could not compare. The Escort was sold sadly but had enough of the unreliability of it. Should of turned the power down really but never mind. Cheers for the comments

Well what can I say, payday happened ha.

I have just purchased

New fog lights
New front M Sport bumper grill
New drivers side wing mirror motor

Also added to my cleaning kit

3 x Purple Monster drying and polishing towels
1 x Dodo juice shampoo
1 x detailing brush
2 x Wax/Polish Megs applicator pads
1 x Megs Polish
1 x Megs Yellow Wax #26
1 x Wash mit

I have not bought any APC yet as most of the areas I would use that on I have cleaned with elbow grease but will get some next month or when I want to go over these areas again.

I have still got to tackle the arches but thinking about getting some protection on the paint as I have not touched it since I compounded it. Fingers crossed if the weather is good and this lot turns up I will have a busy weekend
