How did the dice fair in the end smile ?
The front two lasted about 2 months, then they were gone - so I took the rear two off and binned them, I knew they'd go eventually so I wasn't too bothered (especially as I used to make/sell them on ebay & had a load of them left, so I was just trying to get rid!)

As for the MPG stuff, it's not that there is a problem with the car, on a run I can get 30ish, its just that my commute sucks as its an awful lot of stop/start driving, even in my Fabia I wasn't getting fantastic mileage from a tank!

I was thinking about a remap, but then an opportunity to buy a mates Civic came up (long story short, I was selling a Smart ForTwo Brabus on behalf of a friend, another friend had an EP3 civic and wanted a change, so we swapped)

Lovely car, a shame about the recent downgrade. CTR's are not much better on fuel if at all.

A CTR will do 35mpg easily on a run....a Focus ST will barely get 30mpg on similar journeys!
General driving my friends ST MP260 has averaged 22mpg over 5000 miles, my FN2 is averaging 29mpg over similar journeys.

I wouldn't say downgrade, a side step maybe, but there isn't anything that the Focus does any better than the Civic, and vice versa.

I do like STs, with the Mountune upgrade they are superb, the MP260 kit often pulls around 280bhp and over 350ft/lbs of torque, it definitley feels more than 260bhp as well!

I used to average 26mpg in my ST and a friend gets the same in his civic. Both listed by manufacturers as similar mpg too. Driving styles can make a big difference but in reality even it was 5mpg difference then really unless you do mega miles the cost is negligible.
