Hi after owning many different Peugeot 306 gti6 I wanted to move on and try something a little newer. Well have to say the megane has impressed me A LOT. It carries speed so effortlessly through corners that it is almost comical. It's almost a little to easy to drive fast but am sure I will get the hang of it. So what's been done to it, well just a remap from an unknown tuner and that's it.

Plans: Well want to get a induction kit and exhaust cat back from Ktec racing, get rs tuning in Leeds to remap it. Better brake pads and just enjoy using the car. Its a weekend toy so will probably forge the engine at some point and fit bigger turbo but for the moment it will stay like this.

Ps was a very quick clean and was not finished lol.

Love the colour, love the car!

Enjoy OP! I've always wanted an FRB RS though personally I'd choose the 182 (as its one of my dream cars!)!

Lovely car – don't see many of them around. However that isn't an R26 I'm afraid. It's a 225 F1 team, was a ltd edition model. Looks like it's in great condition, have fun & enjoy it!

Deffo not an R26.

I loved mine; Wish I never sold it. I've had lots of cars and its still the only one I truly miss if I see another. I think they look stunning and such a head turner. Probably the most all rounded car I have ever had too.

At 19 though, It was killing me financially and thought I would save the money. Instead I went on several holidays and pissed the rest up the wall within a year! I remember one month, I had to put 4 tyres on it, and combined with insurance, petrol and finance...it was more than a months wage :/

O well, I will have another one day.

Yep they are awesome to drive, only mine is completely silent which will change soon. I agree they are just a well rounded package, good at doing many things well.

Hang on your dream car is a 182 although you own cars that cost more than they do... why not live the dream lol.

I was hoping someone wouldn't spot that! hehe

I want to take advantage of the fact that I can currently afford to pay the extortionate running costs that my cars (and cars that I am interested in moving on to next) require. The day I either have £3,000 spare or (more likely) I cannot afford to run my rotaries or need a more economical and practical car, the 182 will be my first choice without doubt!

Fair play mate, I'd bloody love an RX-7. If, like you say, one day you're unable to fund it... message me for a swap drunk

Holy thread resurrection,

Firstly can admin please change the title for me, Renault Megane 225 F1 please.

So what have I and more importantly the car been up to?

To be honest not a great deal until now lol. I had an Andrew Jeff's short shifter fitted which is a great upgrade, unfortunately due to people messing him about I don't think he does these anymore. Have fitted a nice ram air filter, not sure if will keep this as I have a ktr panel filter and air box mod sitting in the garage, the ram air filter does sound like darth vadar in the glove box but not sure about power for the car.

On the 22nd Dec it's going to Fast Road Conversions or Power Speed in Ashford for a nice custom 3in exhaust, 3in decat and single back box. Then after Christmas will be going to rs tuning in Leeds to have an Airtec 95mm intercooler fitted and a remap with possible larger injectors at the same time.

Other plans include, cooksport lowering springs, alloys powder coating, ds2500 brake pads braided lines and fluid change. Also on the look out for a diff at some point. Mrs got me a GoPro 4black for my 30th so will be getting loads of videos of the new exhaust and loads of new driving vids.

Stay tuned guys and gals.

Nice looking example you've got there fella. Read the thread on rsmegane about Andrew stopping the short shifters which is annoying as I've had my R26 a yera now and it's my next planned mod along with a remap from rstuning frown
