my cheap barge

Bugger
Test measured with a Samsung 7inch tablet but forgot that the Hudl has a far bigger surround, plan was to pull the headunit out and replace it with a tablet built into the dash but thats a no-go
So my options are either a mount where the center vents are
Or get super sneaky and use the fact that the OEM unit has a tape deck to my advantage and fabricate some sort of bracket that holds the tablet inplace using the tape mech.

So today i went to a car show held by a car audio distributor, they were clearing some stock out cheap so i did the only logical, sensible thing someone who is watching the pennies can do to keep his spending under control
I bought the Jag a prezzie
Just a little 10inch sub for the front footwell, this is the baby brother (one model range down) to the 15inch nutter specials that are going in my ford so it should do the job and only ned a tiny enclosure so passenger footwell space should not be too badly impacted

If you have a shelf in your garage near your car take my advice and check it is secure, one of the shelves in my garage fell down at some point (not been in the garage for a few days), this was what greated me when i went to get my barge out
Its done around 400quids worth of damage but i am quite lucky as a bottle of paint stripper was on the shelf, thankfully that did not split open otherwise things could have been much worse
So take my bad luck as a note to check shelves in your garage

So updates
Picked up a old-skool amp and a damn good set of speakers
Started the layout of the boot
Started the sub box for the front
Cardboard template
Start with the wood
Start fibreglassing
That is as far as i got as i ran out of materials
Now as i am good friends with the owners of a local car audio shop i went along with them to a car show, i think the lasses on the show stand liked it
