There's an e36 pickup currently on eBay that looks pretty good to me. I guess always worth having a look at other projects. Good luck.
Are you serious? I posted that in the horrors in PH topic for a reason!http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271470363711

Have you been liasing with your local SVA/IVA inspector to make sure your creation will pass the test once complete?
As I understand it, there is no category that a car converted to a pick up fits in to, so no matter how safe or professionally executed it is, it just can't be tested, therefore it will never pass.I hope to be proved wrong.

Was just about to post this..I hope to be proved wrong.
I recall a few years back reading that new regulations basically mean that conversions like this will never pass and will never be legally registered on the road. Used to see people doing pickup conversions quite a lot in the modding scene but doesn't seem to happen any more, probably for this reason.
No reason you couldn't make it a trailer queen though.

Or maybe fit a removable hard top and call it a Coupé?I recall a few years back reading that new regulations basically mean that conversions like this will never pass and will never be legally registered on the road.
