ok, as much as i hate my alloys with a black/polished Halfords theme, i will have to stick with them a little longer as i turn my attention to the sound system.

The car came with the base 6 speaker system (2 in front door cards, 2 in rear parcel shelf, 2 under front seats) and iDrive.....and it sounds poor to say the least so looking to upgrade this to a 13 speaker system similar to the logic 7 setup. Although iam going for OEM+ i cant justify the cost of logic 7 compared to its sound quality when i know i can get better for my money.

ill be using genuine BMW trim parts for the upgrade:

E90 Window Frame trim for tweeter N/s - 51337171202
E90 Window Frame trim for tweeter O/s - 51337171201
E90 Dash centre speaker grill - 51457123750

ill be looking to install:
2 x Earthquake SWS-8 8" subs under the front seats
2 x Focal 100KRS K2 for front door cards
2 x Focal front tweeters
2 x Focal 100KRS K2 for rear door cards
2 x Vibe Slick 4 for rear parcel shelf
2 x focal rear parcel shelf tweeters
1 x Vibe Slick 4 for front dash center

And various crossovers, wiring harness and still need to decide on the amp.

haven't decided on the choice of parts listed yet, but wont change too much from this.

Small update

E90 LCI warning triangle and boot carpet installed. Looks neater then the pre-LCI setup that's in the boot
Also installed the tweeter window surrounds. No tweeters in them yet but will do that along with a complete new sound system.

no real updates, car still as is. Different financial commitments have taken away spending on the bimmer.

Coming upto 10 years in July with 185k on the clock and still driving well. Only thing i need to sort out is the AC compressor as i think its cracked\leaking

wouldnt mind a newer 335D or 435D but think i need to keep this for a few more years yet. Still have some things i wanted to do with it first including LCI front conversion and LCI CIC iDrive upgrade

didnt need ac compressor, just a re-gas by a garage that knew what they were talking about, so AC is working again.

Wheels have been changed for some 19" M4 reps and its sitting on 220k miles. The clutch and DMF are finally telling me they want changing. Still they have had a good run

Things to sort, change fuel breather hose (get a fuel leak if filled over half a tank), fix leaky screen wash (looses like a tank of screenwash within a week), new clutch and DMF, got a clicking from o/s driveshaft, might just be the CV joint, haven investigated it yet.

What a lovely motor! Bought myself a 57 330d last week and came across this thread, some tasteful mods and makes the car look very modern.

Given me a few ideas..
