Well I think I have a problem. This year has resulted in a new car each month, without fail, and April does not disappoint.

April's shed is the following

1995 W124 E220 Saloon
88k
1 Female Owner
Full MBSH
Tax and MOT Till August

£200!! Thats right! And it had a full bloody tank!!

The alloys need tidying, it needs a good polish, but apart from that it all works, even the AC.

Pics, oh go on then;

And then with her Stablemate for Daily Duties, the Scenic. Range Rover, Landrover, Boat and Caravan all tucked away on the farm - lack of space!!

It has a spec, less than the size of a Rice Crispie on one arch. Thats it!! Drives smooth as silk, its lovely.

It came in PX at my dads garage. He called me and asked if I would be interested in a check 90's merc. I said yes. I got home, found the keys through my door, and the V5. Thats when I first found out what it was. Got a lift 20 miles to his garage, it was outside, got in, and bought it home, about half hour ago! Sits at 80 very nicely!

That's criminal. Your father should hang his head in shame for this Bargain Barge profiteering.

Nothing wrong with some bargains!! Im heading off to Lydden Hill tomorrow for the BDC, was going to take the Range Rover, but I think this will more than happily make the journey, and possibly be more comfortable!! Ultimate road test!

88k is nothing for one of these as well, my 300 is on 168k and I drove a 198k one today that was smooth and sweet!

I think you will make a nice profit if you decide to sell.

Well its Sunday Service at MB World tomorrow. So I thought I would clean the ol beast up. She is now 800 miles under the belt, not an ounce of oil used, and motoring so smooth. 35mpg is where it has settled too!

Only problem is, which one do I take tomorrow??

That looks very like a run out E220 "SE". My Dad had one, a few extra goodies like polished alloys, air con and an outside temperature gauge. You need to rev the 16v unit.

A great buy!
You got the spec spot on!! Yer, it does enjoy a good rev!

The 220 will still be here in 10 years time, is better built, looks better, is the more premium product, and the more interesting car - but that engine in the 55'.

It sounds like there will be a W124 contingent at the SS, I'm annoyed I can't join them. Some guys from the 1-5 barge thread are going - perhaps meet them!

Yup, I put the light protectors in the boot, along with the fully stamped service book, loads of reciepts, and the lady's pad. An accesory I believe to stop high heels damaging the carpet mats! This car had everything with it.

Ill bring the W124 then, I love it. Had to loose some tread on the 55 tonight though

I'm going tomorrow and look forward to seeing this.

That's an epic buy. You owe your dad a beer, actually you owe him a barrel!

Fantastic to see these things being used and, at less than the price of a big night out, it's a steal.

Liking both of your Mercs OP, I have to ask though how the hell did you manage to buy an E320 for £85? I bought a CAT B E270 with no roof that cost me a lot more than that!

I owe my dad a fair bit, but then I help him out an aweful lot too!!

Lets just say, my fleet at current owes me a lot less than friends cars, that includes boat, cars, caravan etc. And yet, they all prefer mine! Crazy folk!

Of course... it's a W124 after all smile

I bet the list price of that car plus inflation buys rather a lot of mercedes nowadays!

The mercedes, with its options, was £27,126 on the road. In 95, that was a fair chunk!
