As my GT is off the road most of the time with problems/rebuilds etc i'm having to drive my misses boring 1.0 corsa.

However she's finally agreed in letting me exchange it for "something similar size, but that you would enjoy more".

So replaced it with a Clio 182 on saturday. Never driven one before, but to be honest i'm quite impressed!

They're very nippy little things. Obviously no match for the 4wheeldrive twin turbo GT, but great fun around little bendy roads, and such a massive step up from the boring corsa!

2 owners from new (a couple), both Clio sport enthousiast who were also both active on the Cliosport club forum, so i can see all the hx of what they've done with the cars etc, from the moment they bought it and had it delivered, untill the moment they sold it (and replaced it with a Clio V6).

Interior is nicer then in the Corsa as well, this has Recaro seats, climate control and AC, cruise control, xeonon lights etc so am very pleased with it.

Got no plans for it so far, once the 3000GT is sorted that will be sold and then replaced by a Chimaera, and this little 182 will remain our little run-around go-to-the-shops car smile

I've not got a load of pictures yet, but 'stole' some of the forum put up by the previous owner (who's taking her private plate with her) :

Old and new outside the car dealers :

I picked one of these up the other week (not as nice as yours but im slowly getting bits done) and i'm over the moon with it.

Great for popping to the shops and to work, but also a complete animal in the bends...I love a revvy engine.
Also completed a couple of long motorway journeys and seen 40+ mpg which I was surprised at.

Cheers guys.

I've seen loads in that darker blue, but did really prefer this racing blue colour, it suits so well.

I'm almost tempted to say that this little clio is more fun on the little twisty roads compared to my heavy (2 ton) GT.... redface

Really jealous, looks like a nice tidy example. You don't want those horrible heavy recaro's do you wink.

Good to see it has a genuine cup splitter on it, just be careful with it as they aren't cheap!

Also it isn't a 182 Cup, it's a full fat wink. You wouldn't have xenons or auto lights/wipers if it was a Cup.

Ta smile

They're so comfy those recaro's! Also keep you right in your place when throwing it in/out a bend.

Why did i not buy a 182 before ?? driving
