Your story gives us hope that there are many proper petrolheads out there though some dealers are prepared to readily give them 'the shaft' too easily. Well done for persevering to get the history.
Are you going to bring it to Cosford for the CCB tomorrow? - I'm sure many middle aged guys dreamt of owning one when they were first launched though sadly didn't have the means to buy, let alone insure them , would wish to admire it. Btw, l seem to remember one got parked in a canal in the Midlands following a car chase with the BIB once

Stunning, everything. Including the massive rear plate with pre 'GB plate' massive font!
Did the prev owner not want the reg?
We both agreed that after so, so many years with this plate on this car = it should stay that wayDid the prev owner not want the reg?
I feel a bit bad for putting my plate on my leased M135i from new, as it will be straight off once it goes off to auction. But I guess the car is more of a 'white good' so not too bad.
