Fantastic car, there's something about old school Fords.

This particular example is a superb illustration of what can be done with what some would consider an ordinary car. It's a beautiful piece of work and is now a very special car indeed. Kudos to the OP !
Thanks...

I haven't read all the way through the thread... And I'm guessing this is a bit of a "marmite" car...

But that does look lovely...cloud9

Looking great, a real credit to you. Great to see the level of workmanship and thought being applied to the project.

Absolutely love this!

I had a G reg black 1.6i ghia with an RS1800i engine in it, lowered on 16” TSW Stealths when i was about 18...loved that car! I tried to find it again recently but I assume it’s gone for good or beyond repair by now.

Didn't catch this first time around, so many memories. We had a couple of Orions growing up, my father preferred saloon cars so replaced a couple of Escorts with Orions because he's got such an imagination with cars!

One in blue (not the same blue as yours started, your's looked like the 1600e model they did briefly or was it the Eclipse edition?) 1.6 Ghia and a grey 1.6i Ghia. I lost count of how many times I had to tell my mates it was basically an XR3i wink

So many family holiday memories in the back of one of those!

Darn so it was, the Escort was the Eclipse! My car geekery is wearing off with age although now I think about it the Eclipse had a weird spec with the rear spoiler but no alloys.

Such a cool car, looking through the pics looks like this is from Crewe way? Tesco express by the station? Surprised I've not seen it about yet!

Don't blame you, only recently got my Fiesta on the road after it's build and it's been pranged by some idiot with a trolley

Retrim progress is slowly getting there, can't wait to bolt a complete 90's spec trim in... 8)

Had it out the other week to get a leaky tire sorted, just required resealing...

Once I have the rear seat back I can get it all cleaned up ready for fitting.

90's spec rear seat is back with me...

It's cost me a small fortune but it'll all look nice once it's all come together...
