It definitely has a bit of a Sapphire look about it.
Why do Borbet C alloys look so right on these old Fords!
Any more plans, or just enjoying it on dry days and high days?

Get the 90's spec retrim completed and fitted for Fordfair
Fit the wrapped tubular manifold
Look at the Focus RS Brembos again for the front, and if there no good for my wheels I'll sell the Brembos on and try something else
Wire Innotive wideband gauge up
Change steering column bush (it's in the garage somewhere)
I've still got my Focus RS box conversion todo lol: It's all sat here waiting to go in

Had a good half day trying to iron out a few issues all because of the exhaust manifold upgrade
Rerouted the bonnet release cable alittle and used some heat protective sleeving round it for now, at a later date I'd like to drill the mechanism and route all the cable within the slam panel...
I've used some more heat protective sleeving over water pipes near by to the exhaust manifold
Changed the original Allen key headed bolts from the manifold to turbo for some 17mm headed bolts
Replaced all the gaskets, manifold spacers...
Also trimmed the slam panel alittle more to allow for engine movement
I've added some under bonnet heat protection
Found my red poly exhaust rubbers, fitted them and tweaked exhaust Backbox alignment
Moved iPhone/ pod connection for head unit from the glovebox to the centre console where the tape storage is... Was a pain putting phone in the glovebox
Give it a quick detail...
Plan to fit the 90's spec interior tomorrow, change steering column bush
So more pics tomorrow 8)
Thursday were finally mapping and adding some much needed extra boost...
Friday I'll be getting the machine polishers on it to get it looking it's best for Fordfair

We've been out mapping today with the Orion :DD:
We've not increased the boost, just ironed the map out to make it drive better, and tweaked the map as and where needed due to the manifold upgrade
Drives really nicely now, and is quite a handful on boost
I've put 180 miles on it while out today
This manifold upgrade has caused no end of grief, today while out mapping every now and then the bonnets been popping up into the safety catch
After much tweaking it seems to be good again, but didn't dare do any high speed mapping on the motorway with this issue
I've ordered another new bonnet cable and latch mechanism to modify
Unfortunately I've now got a high spot in the bonnet where the new manifold must be pushing on the bonnet when on boost
The high spot hasn't broke the paint, so it'll tap down... I know PDR :top: So it's easy sorted
But I need to sort the clearance out before sorting the bonnet

Well we made it to and from Fordfair 2016...
Still a few bits to tweak...
Had a good day, usual Fordfair tan... First year taking littlen to Fordfair, bummer forgetting the buggy... Oh well
Nice to have a complete 90's spec interior in the Orion... ( New retrimmed front seats are still in the making, just waiting on some more material)
Didn't really take many pics, a couple on stand...
And some once back home all clean again...
And the new interior finally...
Nice to see it all finally come together
