Mine does have both cup packs, so it has the cup spoiler. Not sure but the blue one might have the trophy (and therefore V6) spoiler?
The Racing Blue one posted above is the cup spoiler. Yours is the standard, non-cup pack spoiler.
Huh, yeah. Hadn't noticed. So that's weird.

Ride height looks good for cup, it's got the grey wheels.

Also got front splitter. (What's left of it anyway) but no rear spoiler?

Wouldn't worry too much, if you want the cup spoiler you can pick them up for £150.00 or so. It could be that a previous owner removed the spoiler to sell on, perhaps before a P/X.

With regards the "suspension" cup pack, the only sure fire way to check is to turn the wheel to full lock and measure the distance between the two lower shock bolts (centre to centre). The measurement should be 60mm.

Parts prices on these things are bonkers.

As you say ebay shows all the second hand ones come up at around £130-£180.

Can buy an entire bootlid for £40.....

I have one of these - fantastic little cars.

I can only echo what you said about costs and maintenance - go in with your eyes open. I've had mine for 4 months and it's hit me for:

-Cambelt and Dephaser
-New Exhaust (Janspeed for me)
-Water pump
-Rear Shocks

All of the above cost almost as much as the car itself.

It hasn't taken the shine off of ownership though, they are fantastic little cars.

That paintwork looks in excellent condition! I’m on my second also, both of them being BG. It is a sod to keep clean but, for that 5 minutes when it is clean, is the best colour. There’s nothing quite like them for a mix of economy and fun. ASW…

Your looks great with the Turini's and Recaro's.

Had I not already spent £1500 on it, I'd be ordering a new spoiler, a new splitter, re-trim the steering wheel and sort the wheels out.

Sad that the guy in the local Renault parts department recognises me now!!

Measured the Suspension. 60mm - Phew!

I'm a bit late to this thread Graham, these are great fun little cars...reminded me of the Williams clio when I drove one.

btw there is a chap near me that does wheel referbs for £50 a rim, not used him myself but he has a decent reputation locally.

If I ever get stop breaking things I'll get the wheels done.

Just snapped a bolt on the fuel rail cover. Rattling like a good'un!

Looks lovely Graham. Enjoy!

Had a lot of fun in my 182 even in the short time I had it, certainly should have done it sooner.

Exhuast was the end of mine but then it really was at the very budget end price wise.

If you thought that was bad, you should take a look at the price for the Cup splitter. Replaced mine earlier in the year at a cost of £130.00 from Renault frown

I've seen several people replace their front splitter with a Skoda one, which is only £ 12, and i can't see the difference (at least not in the photo's)

Mine didn't come with recaro's as standard but the previous owner bought some and fitted them, and they hold in you place rather well when enjoying some little country lanes.

nono Blue with stripes is the fastest! tongue out

There's a noticeable difference imo. But not >£100 worth of difference.

Mine with the fabia splitter:

This is my plan, as you say it might not be 100% but for over £100 difference I can survive! £130 sounds expensive though, my local dealer wanted £115 iirc.

So yesterday I found the snapped fuel rail crash guard mounting bolts, I now know that was the source of my rattle. Have removed it until I buy new studs at the weekend (I'm paranoid it'll fall into the fan shroud!) I thought it was exhaust but while inspecting that I found that the fitters haven't done an amazing job. It has an air leak. I haven't got time to remove and refit so have gun-gummed the st out of the connection, I think the rubber might be missing between the cat/centre section. Another job to the list.

Chris, if we ever get out for this beer then have a drive. It's a hoot!

Jonny - how's the 650? Miss the M5?

You have taste sir biggrin

Now lowered on Cooksport springs and has an ARB, did wonders for the back end under braking.

Though I do look hilarious trying to get out of it at 19 stone...

You should have bought a proper car, Graham! wink

Glad you're sorting out all the niggles, it'll be worth it in the long run.

Been a few since the M5, including the 182. I don't miss the worry and issues to sort, I do miss the car itself. Given the right budget and as part of a fleet I'd certainly have another. Glad I did it though. Early days with the 650, proving to be competent and thirsty. Need a long trip to really use it.

I was thinking more along the lines of "stop being so hamfisted with the spanners"! biggrin
