Cracking car, I to prefer the look of the pre facelift ep3s in Milano red.

With regard to the charger setup, a mate of mine runs a Rotrex ep3 built by Performance AutoWorks. His has no silencer/restriction in the charger setup & front mount, bigger injectors etc etc. His was mapped by TDI North and runs very very well!!!

I understand that there are a fair few people who believe the TDI north dyno is optimistic an it mayy well be but i assure you with ~ 360hp @nearly 9000rpm the car punches well above it's weight!!!

I was just about to update....

It's alive. I've seen do a dyno run, on a basemap before tuning. We're hitting 260bhp at the moment with more to come!

I've seen that you've bought yourself a new one, would love one myself. The grey is ace and the blue too.

Think I'll wait until they're about 12 years old then I might be able to get myself one!

It's back!

Struggling with the intake temps, hitting almost 90 degrees at some points on the dyno.

We've decided to play safe with the map and kept the car at a very safe 263bhp and 190ft/lb torque which I'm more than happy with. The car is so much quicker throughout the rev range and the throttle response is fantastic. I'll get some videos when I can. It's brilliant.

I've nicked my sisters GoPro so I'm going to try and get some video later if I can.

In the meantime, I got s bargain off eBay. Some genuine (or so I hope) Mugen Showa shocks. Should be a nice little upgrade over the standard shocks.

I've made a couple of videos but I don't really want to post them online as they may be a bit incriminating. Haha. I've learn from Polojoe and his video efforts hehe

I'm popping to see my mate on Wednesday about sorting an intercooler as I'm still worried about the intake temps, think it will make me a bit more comfortable giving it some stick!!

Can't believe I've had it back a month already!

It's running really nicely, fuel consuption doesn't seem to be too much worse either which is nice.

Got an intercooler being fitted in the next few weeks so hoping to get some more power smile

Odd question, you haven't just fitted new rear calipers to this have you?

Bookmarked.... Great car, I had one as a loaner for a week 8 years ago when the car I'd just bought needed some work (bmw e39 touring). I didn't want to give it back.

I sold some rear callipers to someone who owns a supercharged EP3 and said they posted on PH so wondered if it was you, nothing dodgy smile

Finally bit the bullet and added my Supercharged badge, I was worried it would look a bit tacky and cheap but I quite like it. Not 100% sure it will stay but it can for now.

I'm not sure, it's never going to be a subtle car, but a "supercharged" badge either a) gives the game away or b) makes it look like you're just sticking random tat on the car. V8 badges on the wings too? wink

Get that intercooler on though biggrin
