Oh don't I know it
Had a bit of a play with the extra power today, by god it's fast
Get the fuelling right and try and get to 350bhp I think.
You will need a bigger intercooler if you keep pushing the power up! Had a bit of a play with the extra power today, by god it's fast

Absolutely. It's a great number, some 60% up on a standard car. I'm happy with that power, I just want to fuelling to be right.
Yes, for sure. That fuelling is an important thing to make it right. Reliability with bad map/fuelling can be a quite bad What is your p/w in real life? I bet that this is a quite a rapid car if you have enough traction

According to t'internet search the pre-facelift EP3 is 1244kg standard, so 257bhp/ton. Compared to the standard car @ 160bhp/ton is quite a nice difference! What is your p/w in real life? I bet that this is a quite a rapid car if you have enough traction
Traction isn't too much of an issue as the boost comes on quite progressively and goes nicely with the VTEC so it's not brutal but it's decieving as the power winds up through the rev range!
Gah, I don't seem to be getting anywhere at the moment.
Fuel is still a problem, voltage too low at the pump, fuel feed to restrictive.
Clutch seemed to get stuck on last week, couldn't select a gear.
Tonight a random misfire, parked the car up for 20 mins and it's now gone. I hopefully put this down to a huuuge puddle on the way home.
Sometimes wish I'd never started this :/

Well it turns out my 'misfire' isn't that. Just fuel starvation. Anything below 1/2 tank and it seems to struggle.
Also checked the voltage at the battery which is a healthy 14.5v.... but by the time it gets to the pump...
Which may be causing the issue. I have a new relay coming from Honda which I'm hoping may solve the issue!

Quiet afternoon at work and the replacement relay arrived..
They look kind of the same.
Relay is buried in the dash behind the ECU, 2 bolts at the bottom, one at the top
Then unbolt the ECU bracket using the top bolt (where the locating tab is)
Tada! Relays out ready to be swapped.
Swap done, reassembled and just waiting for a voltmeter to become handy (which will be tomorrow) and see if any difference!!

I think most projects have gone through the "why did I start this" phase.
Id finished a rebuild on one of the bikes, out for a test ride juddering under braking = popped fork seal aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I had to take them back out and swap seals, they were ok in the garage with static testing, but no good when out on the road.
Fingers crossed the relay sorts it for yours.

Seems like we're getting somewhere with the pump, electrician is sorting the wiring out tomorrow. Other good news is that it's getting a new screen tomorrow as the current one has a crack along the whole width!
Unfortunately also had some bad luck. 2 mins gfrkm home yesterday and the oil cap undid itself
Not much oil escaped, and a quick tighten of the cap and off again, but I thought I better check my level today....
And snapped my dipstick off in the rocker
Hoping that the bit in the rocker doesn't go anywhere... new dipstick and rocker cover gasket en route, means disassembling all over again. What a massive pain in the ass.

Finally some good news! Got the dipstick sorted and replaced, checked oil level and all ok currently.
Car has been at the electricians today which has yielded this:
Which has been measured with the engine running at the pump. New feed from the battery, via a new custom loom with a 30amp really.
Next thing is the get the fuel pressure checked to see how much difference it's made!

So just a small update. My front shock bushes have both split and deteriorated. They were replaced a couple of years back but with cheap non-OEM ones.
So to do it properly I have ordered a new pair of OEM ones from Honda @ £100. Ouch.
On the tuning/pump front, car is booked in on the 7th April for the fuel pipe and mapping. I'm out of the country for the week so leaving the car with them and hoping it's done for when I get back!

Bought a little £24.99 action cam (GoPro rip off) from Aldi the other day, got a suction mount from eBay also and stuck it to my rear window for some exhaust noise fun this morning.
OEM Exhaust with a decat, sounds alright I think!

More fiddling whilst I await top mounts to be sorted, car to be mapped etc etc etc.
Spotted the Mwstewart had got one of these for his 'Rarri so thought it would go nicely where my cig lighter used to sit, it's a combined USB/Voltmeter. Pretty handy little bit and goes in nicely with some filing.
And all installed, looks pretty cool I think!
MOT booked for tomorrow as well. Eeeeek.

I have absolutely no need for one, but strangely I feel compelled to purchase one Spotted the Mwstewart had got one of these for his 'Rarri so thought it would go nicely where my cig lighter used to sit, it's a combined USB/Voltmeter. Pretty handy little bit and goes in nicely with some filing.
