Finally got the brakes on. I really got my money’s worth out of the old ones. Just need to bed them in a bit!

Next is to rebuild the rack again as it’s knocking. Again!

Thought I’d just throw a couple of current photos up as I’m quite happy with how it’s looking at the moment. Soon to have a bit of a winter break, still need to find somewhere to hide it away.

Not much I update. I bought a winter car which is virtually the exact opposite of the civic..

I did purchase some Spoon Sports bits from Torque GT. I always liked the blue tinted mirror glass which is stupidly expensive but looks pretty cool.

Love the winter daily mate, i'm running an Is220d F Sport currently as the M4 and EP3 come off the road for the winter.

How are you finding the E60? n what's the spec? Always fancied one of those

Hi mate.

It's a 530d M Sport (individual) Le Mans Blue with Syrah blue leather! It's an auto as well so will be great for wafting around for the winter!

I had the mirrors fitted and they look really good, I’m not overly sold on the interior mirror tbh, it is a very wide angle and quite hard to see what’s happening behind you.

So when it fell off this week I considered not sticking it back on, but I thought as I had paid for it I would. Then I did this while reattaching it silly

I had an offer to sell the BMW and with a possible house purchase looming, I let that go, so I’ll use the civic again for a while until something else turns up. I got an oil change today and changed the aux belt as I noticed a small nick in it as well.

I’m heading to Swansea on Friday to get the map tweaked as it’s been a while, I’ll post up some pictures of that.

Well, when it rains it pours!

Cancelled the Swansea trip for tomorrow, unfortunately the exhaust manifold gasket let go yesterday. We fixed that.

Then the supercharger started leaking oil, it was a split pipe, sorted.

Then I noticed that the aux belt was moving, the tensioner is fked. We could still do the trip right?

Then today, after driving into work, I thought I would just check the belt… and, oh, what’s this?

Looks like oil. But super thin, reddy/brown in colour, what the fk is it? After much panicking, it’s the engine mount. It’s split and coughed it’s guts up everywhere.

So, trip cancelled, mount, tensioner and Rotrex oil all ordered. We’ll sort it and live to fight another day!!

I’ve got something similar with the Mini at the moment, went in with one problem and came out with more!

Sorted the mount today, went for the innovative alloy one, it looks ace, and it’s definitely tightened up the front end of the car a bit. Power delivery to the road feels better. There is a bit more vibration in the cabin but, meh, I can deal with that.

Some small updates. I’ve ordered an OEM replacement engine mount as I just cannot live with the alloy one, it makes the whole car shake. Will stick that one back on eBay.

I’ve also had the headlights polished today. It’s like night and day, very happy with the results.

Very pleased with the results.

I’m also amassing some parts for a fuel system upgrade as there was a small fuel related leak last week….

It was, unfortunately, a failed jubilee clip. The clip gave up, fuel feed came off and sprayed 99 RON all over the engine at 4bar furious

Luckily nothing caught fire, pulled over, got a new jubilee clip on and off we went but it really freaked me out as I had my daughter in the car.

So I've gone all in with a -6AN fuel system upgrade.

OEM rail modified with -6 Return fitting

-6 Push fitting to OEM Feed

Sytec 300 Micron fuel filter with -8 in and -6 out fittings.

A box of -6 fittings and braided fuel hose

So that should keep me busy enough! he fuel rail will be painted before fitting as well.

Also my new OEM engine mount has arrived. I've got the top part out being powdercoated as well to match the rocker cover.

Oooo…could have been nasty.

-an can be a right git to fit, but we’ll worth the peace of mind.

Always worth having. Quick way to get a return wink

Changing job in the new year so wont be on the road so much. Do need to take the little one down your way to enjoy some fresh air though so might swing by

Replaced the Innovative mount with the new OEM one with the top bracket powdercoated to match the rocker cover and new OEM nuts, looks and feels a lot better now!

I think I’ve mentioned that I sold the 5 series, I had an offer so let that go, I’ve now bought a much more suitable (and cheaper) X3 so I can get driving that and sort the fuel setup out.

So I’ll hopefully get cracking on that at some point!!

I'm hoping to get on with the fuel system over the next few weeks, the X3 goes into service from tomorrow so I can take some bits off the Civic. I think I will do some new pipework on the supercharger system as well while I've got it all apart.

I've been meaning for a while to change the fuel pressure guage. I've had it a few years and it doesn't match the boost guage, it's also got a touchpad which has a life of it's own and looks pretty ugly too.

So, I ordered one of the matching (or so I thought) guages and fitted it today, unfortunately it's got a slightly different colour and different font, but it'll do!

I haven’t even started the fuel system yet, brain has been occupied on other things! I plan to get started soon!

I did have an hour spare the other day so trimmed the facelift inner wing covers to fit with the gas strut conversion, tidied the engine bay up slightly!

I think I will possibly replace the under bonnet sound deadening with something else, it looks a bit st now.
