Cheers mate, dyno figures are all a bit pie in the sky but I think if you run on the same dyno at least you know what you've gained!

Here's a link to the sills http://civictype-r.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=124...

You might have to sign in!

I've just bought another EP3 too, got a couple of bits I'm going to steal then sell it on!

Well a few little updates to show, some big stuff coming over the next few months too.

Firstly, I got some JDM mats, anyone who knows EP3's know these go for loadsa dosh, I got them (effectively) free! hehe

Next up, the big one. I love EP3's, I love Civics, but they're not quick anymore. After a lot of deliberation and soul searching (where I nearly sold the Civic and bought a Subaru Legacy!) I have decided to go for a Rotrex Supercharger.

You can buy a new kit from TTS for £3k + Fitting + ECU + Mapping, but suddenly you're 4k+ in. Ouch.

I've done my normal thing of trying to source all the parts seperately, It's a pain but it saves cash. Rotrex C30-94 from eBay, TTS mounts from ebay, some extra bits from TTS themselves and some brand new RC 650cc injectors.

It's a bit of a Jigsaw and I've still got the most expensive bit (Hondata KPRO + Mapping) to do, but it should all come together over the next few months. So watch this space!

Quick mockup in my garage (excuse the mess)

RC 650's. Mmmmmm.

Can't wait!

Wow! That's going to be impressive mate. Those mats look great and as you said usually go for mega money. I missed my ep3 and that engine, I got an fn2 last week which has impressed so far. Looking forward to seeing how this continues to come along.

Cheers chaps! Looking forward to getting it on, I almost gave up on this car and swapped everything to a black facelift I bought but I decided in the end that I love my red baby smile

Well, the final piece of the puzzle is here. Got an absolute bargain from eBay, a PRA (European EP3 ECU) already fitted with a KPro. The latest V4 model as well. Saved myself a few hundred quid over buying a new one.

I've had a test fit, played with some maps and it's all working lovely, all ready for mapping.

Fitting of the charger? Well it may be happening quite soon!!

And so, it begins! 3 hours last night to strip off the inlet manifold, move everything to get access etc to all the mounting points.

Charger and inlet mocked up to check fitment. That is tigggghhhhht. But should all just go on with minimal fettling!

More tonight!

Be interesting to see how much it ends up costing you in total smile

I'll try and write down a breakdown of the cost once it's all done and running.

I'll wager more fun than simply waving a credit card too; fair play smile

Oh yes, much more fun.

I've never been one to just wave a card, prefer to get stuck in (with a friend who knows what they're actually doing!) and give it a go.

I had a 30AE model running a JRSC, made 285bhp and was immense fun.

You are going to love this once up and running smile

Bit more progress tonight, everything bolted up, charger in place, fitted pulley, belt etc.

Need to do some fettling for pipe work, wire injectors, fit oil system and done small tweaks. More updates next week!

excellent - love a good supercharger whine wink

i'm up to something similar with my BRABUS forfour

don't forget to do some whole vehicle lightening

upping bhp is good but increasing power/weight by removing stuff is a real bargain approach

(sorry is this has been covered already)

Looks like fun!

I'm not going for a lightweight race car, I like creature comforts, so all interior is staying, recaros, air con etc. I'd strip it all out otherwise!

After this I think I'll look for an LSD and a new clutch!

It's being done by a local company to me. They're pretty good at mapping by all accounts.
