My First v8 lexus ls400 at just 20 :D
Discussion
Frank - Remember he's a 20 year old matey, he doesn't want to make it a performance car, he just wants a loud V8 noise and doing it in such an unassuming car just adds to his Grin factor!!!!! Hell, I nearly chopped off my rear silencers on my BMW E38 740i just for the noise and I was mid 30's and I've just ended up doing it to my RS6 a few years later just and the V8 sounds glorious!

To be honest - as I just bought one; it is a bit of shame to turn what is a gloriously wonderful uber reliable luxobarge into a youthful modded experiment.
If I were the OP - as parts are bloody cheap - buy a second exhaust etc; enjoy the car up as you will; and then return it to stock for the next owner.
You will pretty much cover your costs.
The car is way too good to be on a scrapheap; which it will be if it is sold on as tarted up.

£1600 insurance/33mpg - OP is being paid to drive it!

I'm not sure I understand the point in the exhaust mod?
If you want a performance car then start off with a performance car in the first place. The Lexus is a soft, quiet barge not designed for performance driving and a louder exhaust will miss the point.
I wonder if anyone buys a sportscar and then does mods to quieten it?If you want a performance car then start off with a performance car in the first place. The Lexus is a soft, quiet barge not designed for performance driving and a louder exhaust will miss the point.

Just wish the OP would extract his finger and do that LPG conversion.
spent all week mapping it out just so i understand everything and what it's purpose is and then had to wait for a bunch of copper connectors to come to avoid rip off merchant b&q prices, monday it will definatley be installedAnd to add it is very far from a good example, mechanically it is sound but the bodywork is terrible, very deep swirl marks that i'll try to remove when my compressor and sander/polisher arrives, But both bumpers have been destroyed and horridly repaired and i don't plan on replacing them as the cost of that just isn't worth it so i plan on maybe using it as a donor car for a 7 rep with student finance money come september

He clearly wants to amplify the v8 noise! nothing wrong with that!If you want a performance car then start off with a performance car in the first place. The Lexus is a soft, quiet barge not designed for performance driving and a louder exhaust will miss the point.

Monday night. 9pm.... clock's ticking fella
i know i know it's just set back after set back with work all i've managed to do is get the vaporiser and injectors sorted on mounts under bonnet and get the tank filler mounted in fuel tank. the bloody thing is so god damn well built i can't find anywhere to run the fuel line Well some progress was made today, halted by work and the need of a tiny length of copper pipe.
This is the tank mount in the boot, 2 lengths of angle iron secured to the boot with some rachet straps holding the tank down
The filler i have installed in the fuel flap, haven't got a pic of it in as i've only routed ventilation pipe up there so far
Bent some steel to mount the vaporiser onto the top mounts
and bent a bit more to get an injector rail mount on top of the inlet
I also ran a gas line down the underneath of the car, this just followed and clipped onto the brake lines
