Mark, if whilst cleaning the car you loose the will to live, I know a very good detailer in Helston smile

Understood, wash, de-tar, interior, clay, cleanse, hd wax, trim detailed etc comes in at about 90-100 pound. Takes him most of the day. ( He is an Auto- Glym trained/ auth'd detailer) Does a very good job , owns a Golf Rallye and car nut.

Failing that, I will have my paternity leave very shortly so we could crack it out one afternoon at my place ( I can hear all those Dads out there laughing at my hopeful optimism of all this spare time!!! )

I reckon I could cope with that. There's not too much trim to detail either as carpets are a bit overrated. smile I'm going to have it done over the winter though!

My plan is to whip the cage out, repaint the floor and then have it done in a hard wearing charcoal coloured carpet. The cage will be repainted and go in with new stainless bolts. I'm also going to flock the dash and did think about doing the cage too (if possible?) but that may be too tarty even for me!? smile I was thinking of a Stack dash display but kind of like the works style with the analogue Stack gauges. Mind you, that's a way off yet.

If you could fire over contact details re detailer it would be much appreciated. wink

Cheers.

I've never really liked Castle Combe although it would have been nearer than Llandow. It's about time there was a circuit in Cornwall though!

Went for a spirited drive today and there's a definite improvement in steering feel since having the geo' done.

There are some subtle changes, or A subtle change anyway. wink

Yes, Falmouth. If I'm honest, I wasn't too confident when I first spoke to them. Initially the guy tried to impress with his knowledge of e30 M3 (failed! smile ) and then was a little too keen to get in and drive onto their ramp, selecting 2nd gear in the process! Doh! It also took them 2 hours in total. In the end though, I came away happy enough and they did a reasonable job, for a fair price. He did try and sell me some tyres and seemed a bit miffed that I could beat his trade price! smile

Well today, as it's dry here and I have a couple of hours spare, I am going to wash the car myself. I'll time how long it is till I get bored and call in the professionals though! Lol

LOL...I perhaps should have mentioned that...It became a standing joke with the lads that no matter what car you took in there, and we have sent a wide variety of interesting metal in there over the years, that they knew more about the cars than we could ever hope to smile
In his defence though he has always taken his time and done the job right and doesnt charge the earth, and we always go back.

Ive just checked the met at work, they reckon you're golden but looking out the window I'm not so sure wink

Sod's law. Hopefully showers will stop soon and I'll have dragged up some enthusiasm from somewhere? Mind you, I also need to go get some decent polish.

Maybe a long shot but you may be thinking of my old late spec red car that I sold to a chap in Newquay, I had it in the Helston area for about five years and he had it for about the same before it went back to the Fatherland. H337JAF was the reg.

Perhaps.. I knew of one in Newquay that was red and a blue one in Redruth.. so rare to see on the road, yours looks great!
