just thought id update everyone, well got diff fluid changed, brake fluid all changed for ate super blue, been driving around and enjoying it for once lol just get some pics up at last smile i almost forgot how everyone stares at the car when i go past!

lol was fun trying to level the car to put fluid back in


alignment done, what a massive difference






been spraying and fitting msport kit to my mates 530d , just lowered it all round and yes ive told him hes a gay with that m badge





anyway so yeh its been fun driving it , no wierd nosies feels tight as and all the polybushing has made a massive difference...so happy and can start modding again lol

thought i might aswell update this, tackled the headgasket on my drive....


tools for the fan clutch

throttle bodies off






oil leak from the vanos area


2 bolts left nearest the steering coloum will tackle them tommorow its too cold now

wasnt as hard as i thought to get here , just waiting on the timing tools to come in post and going to get head off , its honestly not that bad everything has been easy so far no bad rusty nuts unlike my old mr2's ha
anyway timing tools came today so cracked on with it



set at tdc


inlet cam locked



started removing vanos bolts



seals were flat and rock hard




exhaust cam retarded and locked

vanos off


no cam bolts were loose or threads damaged oil pump tab is fine, marked up for later




at this point i dropped the stupid washer behind the first cogs it dropped to the bpottom of the timing chain 40 mins later it was out so ive given up for today next is cams off then head smile
got the head off today , gasket gone in one place , lol found a piece of timing chain guide , soo lucky tht didnt get caught..anyway pics



it says set timing 30 degree left from tdc to remove cams when chain is off so

sanded with 240 then 400 on a flat block to clean the surface after scrapping with a flat blade

couldnt wait started putting head toghether and cleaning bits

doing it in my bedroom , my mum wasnt happy lol

some bolts had loctite on them when i took them out soooooo

thats all till my gaskets turn up now smile


well got the engine back toghether today most of it done, i swear to gof hardest part was new gaskets for exhaust manifold what a pain in the arse!! any way pics

well got it started today, exhaust gasket must of come off blowing loud haha had a bad misfire, plugs must of been bad put my old ones back in, alot better but still a misfire eml lights on, lamba will be going west with the manifold blowing and need to recheck valve clearences, oh one coolant leak but no nasty grinding or knocks thank fook!!!
i didnt have any jubillee clips on airbox to throttle bodys not sure if that will affect idle..most likely lol so still abit to do

oil and filter change

coolant going in..thn out of the leak lol:muttley:

well it works fine smile put 2 hundred miles on it since, only fiished it last, so far so good, time to get modding

done 700 miles since i changed my headgasket and wow first real blast of the car on some nice b roads, it just pulls,pulls and keeps on pulling , low down torque has improved , generally overall alot better car to drive, my head gasket must of been going when i bought the car oh well lol anyway finish it off with pictures, really want my wheels back to hyper silver.....






sick off the parcel shelf creaking and the rear seats squeeking , tennis ball mod ive seen alot of people do.... and some tape and changed fuel filter and tried the calipers red, not sure though going to get a bbk kit soon



lol as is but the difference is great and i mean it!!!
taped these hinges seemed to stopped squeeking

i was expecting the original filter but it was a ****ty mann one so replaced with a mahle




brakes look tiny lol going to get a bbk kit soon for deffo

decided to spray my parcell shelf black it had faded badly, some pics..

well after changing center prop bearing and retigghting the front diff bolt the clunk has come back not as bad as before but still there, bought a new front diff bolt.......it was ****ed , the clunk has now gone finally smile and changed off exhaust rubbers they were all ****ed site better now and ive just bought some euro tips so should be here this week..its also alot better when your pal has a unit with a lift

got some spacers 12mm and 15mm ones comming some red leather dye , scuffmaster to sorrt my **** drivers seat out,
had the airbag recall done yesterday , told them not to clean car, and all ticks in green boxes on the health check smile

cheers mate
thought id do something with the interior , decided to skin my dash pieces and
all other trim in real carbon fibre kit was 50 quid and theres enough to do the dash bits and steering wheel centers , just wet flatted it tonight and added another layer of clear epoxy and it looks awesome smile
sanded it down added the basecoat then stuck the carbon on when it went tacky

had to roll my arch on the rear drivers..19mm socket wedged beetween inner arch lip and tyre after i heated the paint up a little, got mate to roll back and forward slowly ....it ****ing worked!! it now goes over big bumps without touching the tyre with 3 people in i know but paint is fine and didnt crack and it worked smile
going to fit euro tips tomorrow after work , and flat the carbon bit and finish it and start next bit smile

hi mate , yeh bae in preston/warton , and thanks alot made me smile your comment, theres plenty more mods comming along shortly , just need to sort them stupid wheel spacers , they rub on full acceleration and on dips in road , just ordered the thicker rear spring pad should raise the car 10mm at back ...so should be fine , will update when i get my euro tips on tonight as weather is really good smile

haha cheers mate anyway well finished work at 3 while it was hot and swopped my tips for euro ones, did some stuff on my doorcard and nearly finished my carbon trim smile

my window whistles after 30 mph the seals are flattish , so insert this..



pushed it out so should be better got my rear springs off, going to fit the 15mm rear spring pads tomorrow see if that scrubbing ****s off lol

fitted the rear spring pad its raised it 10mm and i think it looks better than the tyre in the arch look smile

20 min drive it settled and i cann accelerate again lol loaded 2 people in and ts fine thank ****...

well near enough finished my carbon bits test fitted them just got to neaten the edges up and some more sanding and there sound smile






never had pictures of angel eyes on

yes my bumper sgas and I have a fog trim missing will be sorting all this soon

they are matt finish , they look a billion times better should of got some before pics , they look at bit shiny in the pics but THEY have dried completley matt im happy as smile

tried getting my wheels as close to hyper silver i read primer gloss black then silver , they came out alright look better than black anyway

gave the car a good clean today , also ordered a decat , i want more noise and rasp on standard system and ill be the judge if it louder or not lol, lots of conflicting reveiws :muttley: also going to gut my back box properly and remove everything ,going to order martyn's binary software off him when my cable comes so i can delete the sensors and have a play around smile anyway some clean pics

cheers guys smile my decat came today and my cable for laptop to car, going to get up super early get exhaust off and stick decat on and cut the rest of my bck box open and remove whats left , got some software off a fellow on m3cutters that allows you to delete o2 sensors , shift lights, raise rpm and lots of others hes just added the alpha n map to it so its a good bit of software for only 20 quid so will be playing about tomorow smile
