Our annual town property tax bill for our 3 bedroom home equated to 10 years council tax on a 5 bedroom detached house in Norfolk, UK.
My wife has a friend living in NJ and I couldn't believe how much their property tax is, it's crazy down there how much it costs even for a modest house.

Your other experiences are also familiar to me even if the short time I've been living in NY, the oil change shops with their enticing offers but damaging services, and the large characters you see frequenting diners and restaurants.

Thanks for reading.

Being a 6 cylinder Corrado owner you might like the VAG content in the next chapter.

Enjoyed that, much better in long version with pictures than short version over a beer, food and coffee.

Glad you enjoyed the tale, as much as I did the treacle sponge and custard.
