Alfa romeo 156 3.0 V6 (the real GTA?)
Discussion
Thanks, well for now just around 260hp. Engine is ready for some higher revs and should go to around 100hp/l. But i have to go to standalone ecu, for now i'm on stock ecu and engine is breathing through small stock intake so it doesnt run lean until mapping...
I really want the engine to last

And finnaly, i've been very lucky to get this. A friend had a project car but never finished it. He sold me (very cheap) CrMo cage for my project. He has to bring all the straight tubes and welding plates, for now i have main hoop and side ones.
Strong an very light stuff (13kg for the lot on the pic)

Just testing (and got another 9metres of crmo tube for other parts of cage)
bonnet catches
Did that cage come out of a 156? Looks like you'd be better starting from scratch with the way thats fitting, in my opinion of course. bonnet catches
Love the thread, great work and have been following since the start, just the cage i don't like! Keep up the good work!

Well it's not gobna be like that, it will go more forward. Only the angle of windscreen is not perfect, but it will fit
I realised that its going to move forward but as you say the angle is wrong. Seems like you're going to have to do quite a bit more work adding in more bars to it, personally I'd start from scratch. All he other work you've done on the car is great, thought from the other work you did that you would have the equipment and abilities to cut, bend and weld you own cage from scratch? Uff i have very few tools, luckily i have friends
I got thic cage and 9m of straight tube really cheap and i will modify it if necessary so it will fit. Still better then no cage like it was for the last two years
I just want to be safe in a rollover crash (i hope it never happens) and get some more rigidity into the car. It's still for amateur trackdays only
