Brilliant biggrin

To be honest I've been waiting for another exciting R'sC thread to come along that would be worth following, it's stories like this that make the place.

Hope the updates keep coming OP thumbup

Great thread - look forward to updates! Even ignoring the famous former owner, the 420 engine is lovely - I've got one in my 1986 420SL.

Think I'm just going to have to sell up. I cant afford to give this car the resto it deserves, and its got far too much history to just weld the diff and take to driftland. Just need to find an enthusiast willing to give me some decent money for it.

It can't be that bad. Would've thought it would be hard to lose money on it if you sorted it out and pushed it through the right auction, just don't go overboard with it smile
