Ford Escort Rs Turbo

Long time lurker here. Thought I'd share some pics of my car.
Bought last year as a non-runner. After a new engine and a nice list of mods it's ready for its first track day on Sunday!!
Mods so far are:

Sapphire 4x4 cosworth turbo (bigger compressor and exhaust housings)
Aluminium rad and front mount intercooler
Paddle clutch
Rebuilt gearbox with a nice fresh LSD
Koni suspension and poly bushes all round
Escort cosworth brakes

By far the best mod was changing the engine management to full sequential injection from a cosworth.
This allows the car to be live mapped and can run a closed looped system if I want to. At the moment I'm running 21 psi of boost.

I know these cars got a bit of bad press but I love the way it drives. No power until 3500rpm the whoosh!!

Always loved these when I was a teenager; it grieved me that I was driving (my dads) F reg Vauxhall Belmont (great memories) but my younger cousin had a white RS, chipped, exhaust and so on.

Still like the look of these now.

Nice you don't see many if these around now, had one many years ago but it nearly ruined me....if F608 HAM is still out there I wish the current owner the best of luck (it looked identical to yours).
