Cheers guys - hope to see some of you up at KH, and just ordered myself an on-board camera so will be sure to get some vids up.

Why not mod the F430, well it was a scud, and I traded it for a 458 road car back end of last year. It's been out on track a couple of times but to be fair they are way too heavy and soft for track work :-)

Anymore jobs going doing a bit of 'this and that'?

I think you'll do rather well in a game of PH top trumps smile

Lovely car OP. Will be interesting to see the difference in lap times with a 'regular' 458.

Two things spring to mind -

A) That's bloody awesome!

and not wishing to pi$$ on your chips, but

B) Won't that be a tad frustrating on most track days?

That looks cracking, and i imagine the noise is mental smile
It looks great in that colour and with those wheels, even the yellow writing on the tyres looks right.

RE funny graphics, how about some mad cartoony type graphics featuring the mad and bonkers BANANA SPLITS thumbup

I'm up in Aberdeen on Wednesday but should get to the last 30 mins of the tracknight on my way back home, I assume it's 6-8pm?

There's been some pretty bonkers machinery at most trackdays so I'm hoping there won't be a massive speed differential...

Banana split sounds a good plan!

Colin - yes, 6-8pm, hopefully see you towards the end of night, and bring some decent weather with you!!

Can't wait to hear your seiving impressions on the car. Does it have the same power as the road version?

OP, very cool car.

I do hope you find a series to race in as driving that on trackdays will be an exercise in frustration. Is it eligible for Scottish Saloon & Sports Cars Championship?

If I'm free on Wednesday I may pop up to have a look smile

There are some funny pics on google images wink
I liked your pics of the Ferrari trucks btw, they do have some top tackle, (from my point of view.)

The road car did a 56s lap of Knockhill on road tyres - hoping I can get nearer 50s with this on slicks and some aero, fingers crossed.
Good god, 50s around Knockhill would be bonkers! From memory the lap record is 46-47s I think, set by an F3 or F3000 car.

When the 458 first came out I didn't think they would look as pretty when in racing/challenge car guise, but yours is just achingly beautiful. What a machine!

There was a red 458 Challenge at my last track day at Bedford at the end of July, complete with lorry and support team.

That looks superb - and an amazing workshop you collected it from...

In true PH style, with that colour, it really needs a full Birds Custard livery, surely!

Hope the trackday goes well - will be interesting to follow your journey with this!
