Lovely gesture..well done, hope your dad enjoys it...thumbup

Had to do a double take as Mrs WR had a CLS 320 in the same colour inside and out, but hers had a different (optional) steering wheel.

Beautiful car......

Lovely gesture!

I've always loved and had a soft spot for the CLS and I'm not usually a Merc man.

I enjoyed reading that story. Lots of respect Mark. I did something very similar, albeit giving my mum my Mk3 Golf at Xmas as she'd been letting me live at home for free until I got a full time job after uni, so I get the sentiment. You did it in far more style though! clap

Lovely car, lovely gesture, nice to read.

Now your dad can return the favour and buy you some jeans that are long enough to cover your ankles hehe

Lovely car - I don't generally like modern mercs but this generation of CLS looks great, especially in that spec.

Brilliant.

I did this a few years back for my mum and dad when I purchased a Volvo V70 for them. I never got the special treatment for them that you got but I hid the car round the side of my house. I invited them over and told them I was cleaning the car for the new owners and they have just arrived. They then clicked and were chuffed with the car.

It is a nice thing to have done and your dad looks really pleased with it. Sadly my dad passed away a few years after that but I was always grateful that I had the chance to give him something back for having me.

To many happy years motoring in that beautiful car.
That's a great way to do it and a very nice surprise. I bet they were pleasd smile Sorry to hear of your loss.

A properly heartwarming story that filled me with admiration at your kindness, tinged with a little jealousy that, as much as I'd love to do something like this, I can't see myself being in a position to any time soon.

Are you going to be subjecting his car to some of your incredibly skilled and well-thought-out modifications in the near future?
Don't worry about the car - it's just a lump of metal. Whatever you choose to do will be apprecaited just the same, I am sure smile

Actually I have been looking at the later type of Sat Nav, Bluetooth, and parking sensors. That's Christmas and Birthday presents sorted for a while biggrin

Lovely gesture Mark, I had wondered what your Dad was driving at the moment as I remember seeing the A4 in photos of yours a few years back!

Does the A4 become a new project car for you now? cool
Cheers Max. His next door neighbour has shown an interest in the A4, so hopefully it will be an easy sale. No more projects for me as I keep getting distracted from the Fiesta. I want to concentrate on that again.
