Last year bought a mint BMW M3 CSL with just 31k on the clock. A year on with 33k and rapid price increases I needed to decide what to do with warranty. Do I renew?

I saw no point, as I want to keep the miles done to protect value. Suffering the dilemma on whether to use it or save it I used man logic and bought a second.

This was the 24th last off the line, with AP racing brake upgrade and Supersprint exhaust. On a less worrying 63k, so put warranty on that and will enjoy it. Ring trip soon to be booked.

The other has been mothballed.

The 33k one

And the 63k one

These are almost always around the £30k mark for a good one with average miles.

Not high beta like 911's & Ferrari, so should be fine.

I can easily see these climbing up to £40k / £50k in the next decade or so, especially as the regular E46 M3 falls by the way side with chav mods, high milers and increasing difficulty to find a good one.

A 33k mile one of these I think is a good investment, and may end up paying for the 'run around' one.

Good man maths! (Hope you wife is seeing me write this)

That's the thought process. The 33k one will be worth more as I am not using it, hence higher value and partly funding number 2.

No wife, else this wouldn't have happened I am sure
