I'm still tempted to search out an R50 Touareg one day.
I was behind one on the M25 last month. Very understated!

The mud was so bad I pulled a worm out of a gutter when picking the mud out.
It always amazes me how worms end up in places like these. How the hell do the get there in the first place?!?!

A Phaeton W12 exists in my dream garage, right next to the Passat W8 (bonkers that they even exist!) that would also reside there!
Maybe the wrong side of the pond but it is/was where the QE2 departs from when crossing the Atlantic:

I don't know the current exchange rate. I was tempted.

I was wondering about getting 'Passat 1.6' lettering on the back of the car...

I didn't even know these existed till a couple of days ago. Not an SUV kinda guy but they look fantastic.

Love the way these are just a big Passat to anyone not in the know. biggrin
I'm struggling to decide if replacing the Phaeton badge with that of a Passat would upset the idea it's just a "fat Passat" or if it would make it blend in even further.
swap the letters around to say "Phat one"

That is such a cool daily! So discreet. If I was ever to make the leap to having a daily and a weekend car I'd definitely give serious thought to a Phaeton.

Do these retain a sort of V10 noise? Or is it whisper quiet?

You've got me looking on AutoTrader now, especially with that remap potential...

I only saw a blue one on eBay searching on 'VW V10 TDi' lastnight after readng this thread. The front headlamp treatment is a bit Skoda like. It looks like a Yeti to me.
