Good evening PH!

Thread title sums it up really! I have just bought a 2001 MG ZS 180 hatch for the princely some of £500 to use over the winter to save me having to use the TF!

Hers some pics! Please excuse the wheels - They came on the car!

Even came with a Milltek backbox - albeit a tad wonky! Sure I can adjust the brackets for a better fit!

The most untidy KV6 ever! MG purists look away! And yes it came with the huge eBay air filter and it makes the most glorious noise! biggrin

But yeah that's it! Spec reads; 110k miles, MOT until spring - did have to tax for 6 months though! frown Engine pulls and sounds well with no nasty inlet manifold noise - could ultimately do with a good service however, Gearbox and clutch feel okay too - recent slave cylinder fitted it seems, good times! biggrin There is also a slight coolant loss but I have popped a new cap on and this seems to have slowed it up a bit, interior is also a bit tatty but for £500 notes I could have done a lot worse! Infact I have come away with a very revvy V6, very good handling and a car with bags of character! Not bad eh! smile

Winter Shed Costings so far!

Car - £500
Tax - £156.50

Total £656.50

I will keep updated as I go!

I've always been a huge fan of MGs and Rovers due to my father owning nothing but these for 20 odd years, I do like yours too.

Chuck some MGTF160 alloys on and be done smile

Unfortunately the TF alloys don't fit due to the unique 95.25 pcd fitment on them frown I am looking at a set of the standard 17 inch multispoke 'straights' to put on smile should look a lot better smile

Added ballast for the ultimate no-speed stability?

Superb, whatalota car for halfabagasanda.

Does one plan to shed or tinker'n'spend?
Only just noticed this!

Hmm the temptation is there to tinker and spend! I will admit I gave it a good clean earlier and it's not in too bad a shape in all fairness, few marks, light dents and a rusty rear off side arch sort of let it down however frown But despite the slightly unloved bodywork and interior shes all straight underneath and drives okay, even the leggy old KV6 sounds fantastic - still turns heads giving it a boot full and the VIS motors kick in as they should around 3k and a but further around the rev range! smile so mechanically she's all okay fingers crossed!

But yeah there is the temptation just to give it a quick clay, polish and wax in the next few weeks. Also planning a quick DIY wheel refurb to smarten the looks and also an oil and filter change as it looks like it hasn't been changed in a long time :/ Just gonna treat it well and hopefully it will do the same back to myself.

Will update the current jobs and spend list too;

Bulbs for interior light, boot, dash clocks and rear number plate lights - £3 - good old eBay!
Magic Tree - £1
Adjust throttle cable to remove slack - Free! Plus now it feels 180bhp not 120! smile
Heater fan resistor - £5 - now have a working fan on all speeds!

That's all for now! Will update as I go!
