Awesome machine, I bet it sounds sublime with the roof down? Any sound clips?

I love these slk amgs, what a brilliant idea to put a huge v8 in a little two seater. They seem to be holding their value well too, when I looked a few years ago they were the same price as they are now. Not seen one in that colour before, makes a change from the usual black or silver.

I refurb'd the calipers & Rotors on mine, swapped to type III AMG allows and had it detailed. Really starting to get fond of her now !

Have a bigger picture on me.... that is very nice. The X pipe mod is on my list of things to do...

Someone will be along in while to say it looks gay in black :-)

I got the car with 2nd cats out already but was looking for more, noise wise.
Xpipe was just the ticket, sounds like a V8 should. Would advise you do the same as you might be happy with 2nd cats out, then do xpipe after. Infinity in Bristol will do all mods and stages you want. Very helpful guys and all handmade to car.

Calipers and rotors after a re-furb, the Brembo calipers are top quality and thick with powdercoat style paint. nothing more than elbow grease and polishing up of these calipers to bring them back to new. True PH'ding.

SOundclip from one with Xpipe in place of resonator. this is obviously a bit 'cracklier' than when you are in the cockpit as the camera is clearly getting an ear full from the rear bumper mounting position, but gives you an idea as to the outside world noise from rear of car.

In cabin mine is a treat, no drone or sillyness. just lovely V8 Burbles.

Great thread, love the pictures. Have also got the xpipe mod on mine and love it...also from Infinity! Dreading the inevitable new front brake price though.

Thought I would update this as I have been doing a bit of maintenance in preparation for the summer... I have been putting off doing the spark plug change for a long time... I was going to do it a few months ago, but broke a rib so didn't fancy doing it while that was still hurting!

Bit the bullet yesterday and today and changed them. In reality It was not a bad job. By using different extensions and ratchets it was fairly easy. more difficult was getting the plug caps off... I didn't want to pull on the leads, but by using a combination of a spanner, and long nose pliers, I was able to prize them off.

I did the valve covers a while ago, but the passenger side one still leaked a bit. I was never happy with the silicon sealant I had used, so this time I used some genuine Ducati stuff which I had used on a Ducati engine I had built. Expensive at £15 a small tube, but the the engine builder I spoke to who does all sorts of engines said its all he uses now. What I also like is its grey, so it does not show...We will see...
