Very nice buddy!

I have a Clio 200 Cup and funnily have pretty much completed the exact same job list as yo, minus the brakes as mine are ok currently. I did remove the wheels at the weekend and fully clean the calipers (clay polish and wax) so will update that soon. I bought mine from a Renault Technician in Northern Ireland so it was mint. He'd replaced the gearbox and steering wheel under warranty and manifold etc. She has the odd rattle but otherwise it's pukka smile

They are great cars though I love mine. Absolutely STICKS to the road. I do like it when people try to follow around a quick corner and you see them slowly disappear biggrin

Here is my thread if you're interested:

Hello mate, I thought I recognised your thread and then saw a post from me at the bottom of page 1 lol. Your car is mint and will only improve by the looks of things, your right our jobs lists are pretty much identical apart from yours will always be much cleaner judging by the level of detail you go to.

The photo's from your wales trip look great, it's the first car I've owned thats made me go out looking for good roads to enjoy, very addictive. Are you going on the 197 forum wales trip next month?

I knew I forgot to ask something! How much was it to get your steering wheel recovered and from where? I know you have mentioned a name but I am wondering about the contact details smile.

You can message me if you wish. As you have guessed mine is not all that great.
It was a while ago but the figure of £150 sticks in my mind.

http://royalsteeringwheels.com/ This is the place, speak to Jack and tell him what you'd like and he'll get on and do it for you. When it's ready he'll either post it to you and you send him your old one back or you can go to him and he'll fit it. Totally up to you.

Hope this helps

Neil

great write-up - I have had 2 197's one a pure cup and the other cup pack. This makes me miss mine!

Any issues with the gearbox?

So far the gear box is fine, has the usual sticky first gear when cold but I think they all do that. I try to be as kind to the gear box as possible so I hope my good fortune continues ha.

Hi Adam, yeah was gutted I lost you guys. Took too long getting out the petrol station and thought you'd gone left.... bit embarrassing lol. Your cup was looking good, they did a nice job on the wheels

Hey, thanks alot. I remember you were thinking about getting a Clio a while back. What did you go for in the end?
Sorry I've only just noticed this, I bought a Ford Puma, not used it much yet but the short time I've had in it I've loved, not the most refined of cars but handles really well, no major plans for it as it's really just a cheap runaround but some decent tyres a major service and replacing a few suspension parts will be happening soon.
