Why is it wrapped up like a sandwich in the last pic?

Because it had just been detailed and was in a body shop overnight so the detailer wanted it fresh for me on collection! Here's some pics with the new gloss black roof...

really like this. Best looking one I've seen. Not been in a 235 but had a passenger spin in a 135 and the swooshing sound of the turbos was addictive.

The best BMW by a country mile in my view.

Good on you getting it in white because that's how you like it. I think it looks great but would have wimped out because of the associations that come with white cars and the damn cleaning. You win for just going with what you like.

I think the interior colour is awesome, and all the badging just fades into the background. Anyway, it's not like the car is pretending to be something it isn't - it is a performance Beemer and is dressed as one.

This. Couldn't agree more. It's just cool and I would smile seeing it out. Any word on how it drives? Are you abusing the rear tyres?

Looks great! O/T I saw a new white M4 the other day and it looked very similar to your M235 spin

Sorry if I've misread but don't these all come with the lsd or is it an option?

Thanks again for the comments guys! I didn't go for the LSD in the end. Here's a clip recently that I took of the exhaust is sounds so sweet and has pops, bangs, and burbles on the overrun...

I must say compared to other M235i I've seen this one is stunning! (and this is coming from someone who doesn't really bond with white cars) smile Going with manual option is certainly a step in the right direction... bet it surprises a few cars on the road wink

Loving the factor //M Performance touches too. Any videos of the exhaust noise?

Meh. Turbo cars almost all sound crap to my ears and the pops and bangs are very contrived. First thing I don't like about the car, so it shows you how subjective these things are!

The roof pulls it all together for me. Well done for not making it fake carbon fibre.

What do you think about the M135/235 with the manual gearbox as I have only experienced them with the 8-Speed auto?

Does the gearbox rev-match on downshifts?
