I am pretty much used to it now anyway. I took it to Goodwood last weekend and found people either commented on how they liked it, or made some remarks about how much things cost, which is kind of weird and irrelevant? One guy even said "Some smug c*nt has brought his 64 plate m235i" which is quite funny really because not only was I stood behind him, but if he actually met me I'm the most down to earth person going. After all it's not like it's a ferrari enzo. That said, spotted a gorgeous all white M3 behind me on the way out with carbon trim, wasn't you was it? smile

Could have been me, but the only reason that I got (leased) an M135i was because of the cost. The cost of which for the total period of hire is probaly less than the parts you have put on your car. Each to their own, but that's why I said it.

I saw a white 235i near me with all the same bits you have on yours and I loved the look of it!

Being critical, the only thing about your car I dislike is the large 'M-PERFORMANCE' bit on the side skirt & the passenger dash - I'd have them right off.

Otherwise thumbup

I saw this at Goodwood on Sunday morning. Got to say I really liked it and it has swayed me to add it to the next car list when a few second hand ones are on the market. I liked the carbon parts on it and those brakes are huge.

You aren't based in Findon area by any chance? As I seen a similar can in the area.

Re the smug c*nt comment, anyone who says that kind of hateful thing about someone else and their car should be ejected from any car event (and beaten to death).

I was more concerned with how thin/stretched the rear tyres for a standard/upgraded wheel set!

They are pretty slim, and I have to make sure the pressures are always up but that said I've already given it the beans in some pretty rough country backroads and it holds almost as well as the 18s did with the michellin super sports, it's a little bit more slippy but that's exciting and given the adaptive suspension stops body roll (which I got frustrated with in the m135i) it's a lot more entertaining.

The 135 does have a fair amount of roll doesn't it, but I ignore it like I did with my 540i and its acceptable.

That said, I got really comfortable with my m135i after a year or so and entered corners quicker etc, I probably haven't 'pushed' the m235i as much as I did the 1 series yet — just waiting for the dry weather!

Really? The large "M-Performance" bit on the side is my favourite bit, it's so you know its a performance car.

Odd. What are you supposed to do?

a) not buy one
b) put a private plate on
c) wait until you can buy one second hand

I spoke to you at Goodwood and commented on how much I liked it. I had a really good look around it whilst you were fumbling around with the boot! I hope you got it sorted. Very nice car. I'd like to have something like this alongside my cars as something a bit more comfortable and refined but still have plenty of power on tap.

Car looks fantastic in the flesh.

The interior is lovely but im not a fan of white cars nor the carbon 'upgrades'!

Although it looks much better on your 235i than the 320 i saw parked up this morning with the same pack.

Bet its fun to drive though!

Nobody is allowed to purchase brand new cars. Because I cannot afford to and my inferiority complex kicks in.

Thanks Zed! And I know the mrs was more bothered about her handbag being in the car than the possibility of my boot being completely broken, sorted itself out in the end though smile

When I read you were going to wrap the roof I thought "oh no.." but it looks fantastic.

I agree with the people that think it has too many logos/badges but it's only a matter of preference. I don't think it's wrong.
